Reflecting on a thread that was posting about birthdays and asking for lower rates, it kinda got me thinking. We are living on a budget. However, if some hobbyist do hobby frequently, let's say about 3 or 4 times a month, and have to hobby on a budget, does that extra bill makes a difference to you. I guess it doesn't apply if you only hobby once a month, because one bill is nothing. However, if you hobby 3 or 4 times a month, that is $300-$400 dollars lost. Then, you have to include the tip, which is normally $40-$60. Which will add up to $500-$600 (if you took the average of $40 and $50). See, that is a lot of money. I was doing some budgeting recently to, and it turned me off. I'm losing $500-$600 every month if I am spending $400 on a provider. That doesn't include time spent driving, gasoline, and other expenses.

Every provider has a right to charge their rates accordingly. However, I am beginning to turn the other cheek when I see $400 an hour. I can't justify myself to spend that much while I can see another provider charging $300 that may be equivalent in looks and performance. I have also been very happy paying to rate, and most of the times, I see no difference in the after after of paying $400. The only difference is, I am paying more of the same.

I guess, the economy has gotten to all of us, and, I just want to let providers know that for some of us, it does throw us off and we turn the other cheek when we see $400 an hour if compared to $300 an hour. I mean, let's face it, if I paid a provider $400 an hour, add $50 tip, add gasoline and time $20, that is half a K. Half a K here, half a K there, in a month, that will add up, and that is starting to gross me out. IMO, if you want to attract guys, go at a lower rate, because most of us average Joes are not willing to splurge that much because it adds up at the end of the month.

Please, reconsider your rates at around $300-$350, I think that is a respectable number if you want to be successful. Most guys are not going to renege their appointment if it's only 3 bills. However, if it's 4 bills, they might reconsider. Just saying.

The most I will pay to see any one girl for the hour is $400 but she better average at least 8.5/8.5 and $300-350 for an 8.0/8.0 average

The rate back in 1998/99 for a quality lady was $300 a hour. I dont see for $400 or $500 as outrageous.
And aren't you a little chintzy on your tips? You get what you pay for. Obviously the laws of supply and demand are working.

Sometimes, even with providers that charge $400, they average 8/8. So, I see no purpose to justify myself to spend that much, other than it's their rate. The reason for my post is, I want to inform some ladies that it will deter clients when they see those rates because they know they can get the same service that is equivalent in performance and beauty for a lesser rate.

Why should us hobbyist pay the higher difference? I have to be honest you, there is not much difference in those rates, other then it is higher to pay. In my experience, girls that charge $300, they look stunning and provide very good service. It is not how much more a provider charges that will affect her beauty and performance. I'd paid those $300 rates and had some mind blowing sex with very hot looking girls averaging 9/9.

Legitimate question - I've never tipped. Is this common practice? Expected? I've never had any complaints, and I've had consistent visits with some providers.

I totally agree. There are many good providers for $300 and -- judging by their reviews -- those who charge $400 are on the average no better. The most I have ever paid was $350 and I will not pay more. As for "supply and demand", there is an ample supply of women who charge $300.

I know times are tough these days and a lot of guys are feeling the crunch but aren't there options out there that are more budget friendly?  I am new to these boards but played alot in many amps in my past. Some where good some were bad but some were off the hook!!  I know amps arent what they used to be hence my move from one type of pleasure to this hobby. I like this hobby but it's different. Yes the prices are higher but with a premium I feel that there is more of a diversity. There are benefits and draw backs to both, with amps they seem to be more budget friendly ( I used to amp at least once a week some times 2-3 pending on how I felt) but most of the good places have all been closed and the ones that are still around just don't provide the level of service when competition was healthy. Although I ve only been able to have one review with an sp I found it incredibly fun and the variety of sp s out there (types of services provided and different styles of sp) its like more flavors than baskin Robbins!  So I guess what I wanna say is, what options are out there these days?

I'm going to find out today and tomorrow bc after having some lackluster times with women in the 300 range, I've booked a pair of 400s back to back. Judging by the reviews, I should be ok, but I've thought that before and been disappointed, especially by the consistent over-rating of looks by folks on this board. Is it that hard to give someone a 6 if they look like it? 8s and 9s are given out like candy, I'm guessing bc people don't want to hurt feelings.

I was just setting limits. To be honest there are some diamonds out there who charge $300 and do everything like anal, cim, 3 pops, and go over the hour and even Nuru. As the matter of fact some of the best times I have ever had have been with girls that charged $300. I was just establishing limits. There is no way I am going to pay $400-$700 for some of these former agency girls who I saw when they worked for a DC agency at $$$. I travel alot and in Tampa, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Vegas there are hotter girls than the DMV area and the most average between 8/8 to 9/9 at $250 and $300. DC just has a shortage of good looking girls so average girls can charge premium prices.

& I average 9/8.9. You can definitely find a provider who averages the same for less money, but they're also a lot older than I am. It really just depends on what you're looking for.

There are plenty of ladies at all price points and levels of service. It is up to hobbiests to determine what they are willing to pay and how much they can afford. Are you guys reading what you're writting? This is as clueless as Romney running his mouth about how many vehicles he owns.

a custom to tip IMO. Not all hobbyist tip. I tip because I am use to tipping. The analogy I am using is comparing it to other services that require tips. For example, a restaurant, a barber, or other services where tips are "expected" but not compulsory. It is good manners IMO to tip. However, not everyone deserves a tip. I even tip when I get bad service at a restaurant, but I don't tip a lot as I usually do.

I guess, it all depends on who you are as a person and how generous you are. It is not expected to tip because some gentlemen don't tip while others do. When you mention that is it related to common practice, and common practice is another word for customs or tradition. The answer will fluctuate. However, this is not a common practice to do so. So, the precise answer is no. It is not common practice to tip. A tip only occurs when you feel that the provider has exceeded your expectations and you feel that the rate you have provided her does not justify her service, so, you tip her as a form of gesture and appreciation.

As for my personal experience, I tip mostly all of my visits. Even some that average 8 in performance. I am beginning to reconsider that. Once I made it a habit, it became a custom, and some girls I've seen are also expecting it without putting some effort to justify the tip. Makes me wonder if I am setting a erroneous trend as it relates to expectations.

I agree - you read the ad/website, verify and read reviews, and if the experience offered at the stated price is worth it, then schedule.  I've had great experiences from $600/hour to $140/hour, FS GFE.  The high end were great experiences, and I'd see them again if they were available (one is out of town - but on my list if I ever make it back to that city, the other has retired);  But I find that if you peruse ads carefully, from time to time you'll find an up and coming provider who offers a fantastic experience for a great price - when I do, I tend to be a frequent repeat until they become more well reviewed and raise their prices - I don't begrudge them that, but then I also look for another diamond in the rough.  At the high end - those are special treats to myself - only 4-6 per year; whereas at the lower end, I can enjoy myself more frequently.  

I agree its never acceptable to schedule and then cancel just because you don't like the donation - you should consider that when you schedule.  

I think the economy has hit most of us the past few years - if I were still making 2007 style bonuses, I'd probably see more high end.
