  I do accept my appointment form information via phone, but I prefer e-mail.  I will NEVER accept a phone conversation from a lady, asking for a reference.  The lady, or her assistant, must use e-mail.  I need to know that I am not speaking with his wife/so.

  In all honesty, you are not telling us anything new.  We all know the risks, and text and phone are not much better; trust me.  We do, however, appreciate the reminder.

I don't think we can worry in that manner. LE can do a lot of things to find you if they want, and up to now they seem to be interested mainly in organized crime involved in things like 'trafficking' and 'money laundering.' I think if someone were arrested they could simply get a call log as well. And they can track you with GPS. Or track people through TER. We can't be paranoid or we would never hobby at all. The advantage of email for me is you can have exchanges from the office or even from home without arousing suspicion. If you start getting calls or text alerts, and have to run and hide, that can be a problem as well.

E-mail

I understand what you are concerned about with using E-mail. However, I prefer this means of communication to start out with as there is much to be learned about someone by the way in which they write. Eventually, once you have earned my respect, I might text or give you a number to call just before the appointment and purely for logistics. But E-mail, a message via a verified service, or here on TER is a starting point. I like a man who can write respectfully and intelligently and demonstrate that he is worth my time to respond. Those with poor grammar or writing skills are simply ignored because if you cannot take the time to write in complete sentences or show some basic attention to detail, what will you be like for real? I don't want to find out.

Screening and discretion is very important to me and you cannot do that in a text message or couple of quick calls from a mobile phone.

That is my opinion anyway.

Because nothing worse than planning a long term date (without ever talking too the lady) and come too find out she has a irritating voice or simply no communication once talking too her face to face.

If I can talk to the lady and build a connection than I would more than likely do an extended date. You cannot build a connection with 100% email or texting.
