There has been a vaccine for the most common HPV strains for several years. It isn't just throat cancer; there are several other cancers associated with HPV. If you are doing BBBJ, BB anything else, or even protected sex, you should get it and she should as well. The cancer risks are much bigger for her.

The vaccine is recommended for pre-teen girls and more recently pre-teen boys. You might get an odd look from your doctor if you ask for it as a grown, married man, but he or she would prefer that you get the vaccine than come back later needing a referral to an oncologist.
