No. There are hobbiests who won't see an escort unless she's deemed to operate at a perceived standard as far as how she's marketed, her build, or other factors not related to performance. Almost all of the escorts I've reviewed I found on BP, had few if any reviews, had verying builds, and were priced anywhere from $150- $250 per hour. With one exception I had come away well satisfied and made reccommendations without qualification.
What hobbiests have to do is learn you don't shop to make a purchase. Shopping is about gathering information on a regular basis so that you can learn how the market operates and learn to find advantages. The escorts charging $ 300 and above are using the price point to shape expectation. What I do is regularly check this board and the ad sights to figure out what I can expect at certain price points and develop a list of ladies I'ld like to see. Then when the mood stikes me I pick from my short list.

Seems like prices have jumped in the last year, while salaries and employment have dropped. Doesn't make sense until you take into consideration that the DC area is still so flush with fat cat lawyers, politicians, and beltway bandits that real estate has escalated 8% here while dropping everywhere else in the US
I just love how people actually think that DC's real estste has jumped in the recent past. The only reason that real estste has gone up is simply because of the development of SouthEast DC. At one point in the not so distant past, it was such a rat, roach and crime infested ghetto that even the drug pushers and crack whores wanted to leave. Now, on to the issue at hand. Yes, DC is full of lawyers, lobbyists, politicians and successful small business owners but it is not a big city compared to others. Dont get the wrong impression because I dont think that many people who are on a government salary will be able to afford to see $400 girls too often. And government salary workers is pretty much what this city is composed of. I have lived here for 56 years and DC reminds me more of a big town than a big city like Boston, LA, Chicago, Miami and I am not even going to mention the Big Apple. There simply are not enough hobbyists here with money like in those cities.
What I am worried about is that the good quality providers are going to price themselves out of the market and eventually leave for greener pastures.

I've noticed a lot of agency girls put in a tour or two with the local agencies and then go independant. Some of them go from splitting $300 with the agency to charging $500 as an independant. If you're young and hot and people are lining up to see you, you can charge that. But, I know of a girl I saw through an agency who is a solid 8 and nothing. She's currently gone independant and charging $500. Not sure who'd pay that based on reviews but to each his own. If she's getting business then good for her. I always base what I pay on many factors. Won't limit what I spend but also spend knowing that not everyone charging $500 is worth it.

rates should be headed $250 and not $350. I normally avoid anyone who charges more than $300. You can get some nice asian GFE for $250 and even some nice AMP experiences for $160. I don't think I'd spend $300 unless there was something truely special.
free market has the only and last say. If they charge too much there will be cheaper competitiion that will drive them out.
...... but unless they are actually any good that cheaper competition might not last long either.
