I think it's important to understand the numbers in order to properly judge your own risk:
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/statistics/basics/ataglance.html If you believe in what the CDC says, roughly 1.1 m people have HIV and only 25% of that number are non-drug using / straight. That equals a total HIV infected population of about 300,000 in the US (as of 2012). There are 315 million people in the USA. Math says the overall rate of infection = 1/1000, roughly. Also what must be understood is the overall exposure to infection rate for HIV. One sexual contact DOES NOT mean you will acquire the disease! The chances of catching HIV even if you have sex, unprotected, from a partner who has HIV your chances of being infected after one night are 1 in 5,000 using a condom, 1 in 500 without. So, to recap, the math states this: 1/1000 X 1/500 = your chances of having unprotected sex and acquiring HIV..... 1:500,000 Do you know what the riskiest behavior is that one could do when making an appointment with a reputable provider who doesn't use drugs is???? Hahaha, driving your car! Yep - the odds of you dying while driving your car are 1/303. Yep - you are 300X's MORE likely to die driving TO the rendez-vous that you are partaking in BBFS or BBBJ. Other STI's have a higher infection rate - HPV infects roughly 50% of the population sexually active and over the age of 23. However, HPV can not be detected in males with any test and if you have more than 3 partners per year, your odds of contact and infection are roughly 100% - bad news, we are ALL infected with HPV, sorry ladies and gents, get over it. Herpes is much lower. The vast majority of people never show signs of infection from either their entire lives... All I'm saying is know the math and make your decision the way you feel comfortable doing so. BUT, for fuck's sake, spare us the holier than tho lectures on behavior .... "Never tell me the odds" -- Han SolRecently the TER twitter account tweeted out a review that included a description of a cream pie and bareback sex. I always thought TER rejected reviews that mentioned this...apparently they allow them now.
It begs the question...who in their right mind is engaging in bareback in this industry? Do you have to be crazy and just not give a fuck?
A few years ago I was with a provider for the fifth time. During our session she attempted several times to get me to enter bareback. It really pissed me off and I never saw her again. What makes people willing to take that risk, especially providers?
Bareback with someone you don't really know scares the crap out of me. It's a simple numbers game and if you do it enough (or possibly just once) you are doomed to catch something.... Don't risk it.
No other words to describe it. I hear report after report that in random phone surveys that 50% of BP providers are now offering BBFS services. Do so google searches and you will see what I am talking about.

A provider tried to go bareback on me. Both were well reviewed. Maybe they were just trying to give me the best GFE they could, but it's just too much. This had never happened to me before.
Hey just read your post about the bareback issue. And I must say its ALOT of guys that are into that, which I truly dont understand honestly! I am an active provider yet I do not post here almost never actually. However I can say that I get soo many calls literally everyday requesting that. Or bbj which in reality is exactly the same thing. People fail to realize that weather its in top bottom or back the same consequences are there. I always tell them I just cant do it. They will make all types of offers to try an manipulate the provider into accepting that. Yet you have to remember that this is a risky business! And no matter what you can never put a rate on your safety, well being, your health and most importantly your life. In this time of the world especially in this lifestyle its way to dangerous to just take someones word for it and trust them blindly. Statistics from my experience {if I get 100 calls per day 70% of them are asking for one of those types of sessions, and those 70% will not see me because of that} Yet I would rather have 30% or even just the 10% of clientele that prefer not to, for the simple fact that I can sleep easier knowing I was as safe as I could be rather then waiting to see or having something pop up now or some where down the line. I think of like this we have not meet, I know I am not the only you have called, or will call. On top of that the main thought running through my mind who else have you done this with. How many have said yes. As well as who has she said yes too? Or what he or she just wants to pass something on!! At this point pregnancy is the lest of the worries lol but true. In the end i really feel you must not care about your life, others or simple have nothing to lose. Its just irresponsible, careless, un safe, and pretty nasty. For me personally this is truly something I genuinely enjoy for fun Its not a career at all. Granted there are perks involved. But I have a hella lot more going for myself as well as way to much to lose for the heat of the moment .
You are right in that BBBJ/CIM carries much of the same risk as BBFS/CP except the risk of pregnancy. However, rightly or wrongly, most GFE providers perform BBBJ with or without CIM. It's interesting that that service is not considered taboo whereas BBFS is. Time will tell if we've all been foolish...
a while back, I think on the Newbie board, and someone who sounded like a medical expert gave a technical perspective on why BBBJ usually is less risky for some things like HIV compared to risk from BBFS.
Of course, there was another discussion by some guy who didn't realize there is anything wrong with hobbying with bleeding gums.....
But mucus contact is mucus contact. While your risk of HIV may be a little less, your risk of HPV is much much higher. You can contract gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes both genital and oral, as well as hiv and other STDs from unprotected oral sex. So there is some dichotomy in risks we as hobbyist and providers are willing to accept vs. reality.
I'm no expert, but I hope he's correct. Seems like most folk hope he's correct !
You are in here spreading jibberish...do a little bit of research...please.
BBFS is insane due to the other potential diseases, and the idea that you might be sliding in someone else's sloppy seconds (which might be HIV positive).
The risk of getting HIV from THAT infected semen...is far higher than the risk that a female who is HIV positive will pass it to you...(via vaginla unprotected sex)

The risk factor usually refer to less than 6 or so partners. In this hobby, the number is significantly more than 6.
For DATY, believe it or not, the pH of the stomach kills a lot of stuff, then it has to travel to the small intestine to pass through the membrane. However, if you have a cut or abrasion somewhere in the mouth then it's direct contact into the bloodstream.
For BBBJ, it's also difficult due to our anatomy. Ever hear of a guy getting a UTI? It's rare. Always try to void after a session if you can, your urine is acidic.
However, a lot of groups will state in their STD pamphlet oral sex carries the same risk. Unless, they did some randomized controlled trial that is referenced, there is no proof that it carries more, same, or less risk.
Regardless, it is still risky but we all know that when heading into this hobby. Get checked on a regular basis is all I can say.

and I was like... ummm... no. I don't even like it when a gal rubs the head up against their clit.... cover it all up, ladies. No joke.
there is always the female condom. I know plenty out there giving the excuse to not cover up so there is more raw sex going on in the world than most people think! Instead of battling with a client or lover over losing sensation or momentum, I just slide a FC in with a toy and we're good to go. It's way better to know you're being responsible and respectful to yourself and your partner even if they don't want to. And the sad situations that some ladies deal with while being a provider leads them to just worry about the consequences later.
BBBJ is a different story. I'm on the side of the argument that there is a low insignificant risk to uncovered oral and even swallowing semen. As with all things, assume your risk and own up to your shit. End of discussion.

but I really don't want to be bringing back HPV, herpes, or syph either...
