Do exactly what you did...contact and explain the situation to clients who had bookings...Post an announcement on the board and then bitch and whine a little.  You have handled the misfortune correctly and demonstrated that you are indeed a lady as well as a vixen...and what could be better than that !!

Just had my trip to BWI waylaid by an idiotic employee who screwed something up... and did it so thoroughly that I have to stay home and repair the damage.

My apologies to everyone (I've already contactd my confirmed appointments) who was waitng for me to get here....

I hope to re-schedule in the next few months.

I know how that feels I'm truly empathize with you.

In my case I usually get a phone call from  associate 30 mins before they're supposed to arrive.

I feel your pain and frustration with it all. *sigh*
