Your last rip off/scam post was in September 2009

What a way that would be to keep all the info on one concise spot! :-)

No offense, and I know that many guys love that you do the work for them spotting scams...but it's kinda depressing to wade through your alerts sometimes. :-/  It would be awesome to have a spot for all this info to be accessed easier without putting a damper on others playtime pursuits.  I sometimes come here and feel like there are just as many posts about rip offs and scams as their are for other girls and discussions, and it makes it hard for me to look at this board anymore...  I know your intentions are good, but it is also easy for people to get "jaded" by this type of info when it is thrown in our faces all the time, ya know??  For me, I like to stay positive, and only like to frequent places that are positive and make me feel good.  I'm sure I'm not the only one on that...

Would it be possible for you to start a blog, catalog all this info, do a weekly post with highlights to the info you have updated recently, and therefore leave more space for the more positive info??  I'm sure guys would come to know they could go there on any given day for up to the minute info on the latest questionable ads and girls that are constantly popping up everywhere...

Please take this with much love and respect...again, I know you are doing a much needed service for some of the guys, and know your intentions are good...but I've been feeling this way about reading this board for awhile and wanted to say something...

I'm posting publicly instead of pm'ing you in the event that I am off base on this.  Perhaps I am the only one to feel this way, and if so, that is on me to get over it.  I welcome a discussion on the subject. :-)

All my best,

xoM

While I apprecaite and even sometimes enjoy topics other then info on what providers I should consider seeing and which ones not to see; my primary goal is to get the kind of info db provides.  I believe that is the goal of TER.

All this talk about karma and feeling good is moot.  I'm here to find a provider who can make me feel good and increase my Karma. If I choose the wrong provider that will NOT make feel good ending up in a room with a scammer.

So db keep doing your thing.

My post was about the general morale of the board, not karma.  If you want a new age concept to liken it to, I would say it's more about the "laws of attraction". ;-)

BTW-positive morale here helps produce more positive experiences with the ladies you seek.  When one is surrounded by positive energy, one mirrors and emulates that.  When one is surrounded by negativity, it is harder for one to keep a positive attitude.  Ladies are effected by the energy here in two ways:

1.)many ladies read the boards besides just posting ads.  We want to stay involved in security issues, etc., who is visiting (we do have our own crushes to pursue also...) and other valuable info.  Having to read repeated negative posts, founded or not, is cataloged and stored, helping influence our overall perceptions about our workplace.

2.)clients that become negative/jaded from reading too many hyper-critical posts tend to not be the most fun to hang out with... :-/  A girl that is just trying to make a living, but is dealing with too many clients like this will eventually get a bad attitude herself, mirroring what she is exposed to.

I know, I know...I am a bit ethereal on some of this stuff, but I swear I have a completely filthy side that helps balance that all out... ;-)

And please do note: I am not asking for db to quit...to the contrary.  I'm just asking for this information to be cataloged in its own place...which would actually also make it much easier for you gents to reference and use I would think.  A win-win, if you like such things...(or is that too much like laws of attraction?? lol)

No, I think that information when posted here serves a more useful purpose. I don't read the board everyday, but I don't recall any lady ever posting a reply of outrage at her ad being called a scam.

yeah, most of the time it doesn't even take a phone number search when the lady has professional photos, is a awesome looking and charges below average rates.

but if any of the ladies called out here are the real deal, this is the place to answer any allegations.

to have the info all in one spot to access easier??

And BTW-many, many sex workers market and operate without ever dealing with TER...a girl not answering questions here does not equate to guilt...just that she doesn't post here or maybe doesn't participate on message boards.  The only allegations that can expect to be responded to are from ladies that  participate here already.

Sorry if anyone is feeling the need to get defensive on this...(not you beezy...I'm talking in general now...)

I'm really not advocating against what db is doing (I don't know how many times/ways I need to say that before that part is heard...), just saying it would be better for all if the info was maybe put in one concise place, cataloged, etc.

We all need outlets of ways to protect ourselves, as scams, rip-offs and worse happen on both sides everyday.  I am all for supporting that, but I am also all for trying to keep the work environment conducive for positive, open FUN in the process of what we need to do to protect ourselves.

All my best,

xoMegan

DB's scam alerts are more important to me than spam posts by visiting providers.

We can use Eros and Backpage to see ads and I for one appreciate knowing about Scams and potential LE activity.

It has nothing to do with being jaded but everything to do with staying safe.

I don't think the information, or anyone that appreciates it, is "jaded".  Clearly, it's warranted...  I do think too much negativity can create a "jaded" atmosphere though.  I think multiple posts about the ills of the hobby will eventually change the perspective of some.  The same thing can and does happen on the ladies boards...when there are too many posts complaining and not enough balance and/or positive posts, the environment, in general, effects the morale of all.  This is not just a problem for here/in DC/on TER...this is a problem I have seen in a couple of different places on message boards.

I believe TER limits ad posting to once a week per lady, so at least that limits to some degree the amount of "spam" from that angle.  I agree that I do not like to wade through those that are constantly trying to circumvent that rule though, as my low-key style can get lost in the mix. :-P  I often get people saying "Where have you been?  How have I missed you coming to town before?" as they literally have never seen my posts before the first time they schedule...

I appreciate your feedback. :-)  Have a great day!

I too, post and it's gone in a day.  I am coming to DC but, but the one and only post is on last years page!  LOL!!!

So, I may have to cancel this trip. Costly too.

I hope I won't have to cancel.  But, it's tough on the DC board.

NO OFFENSE gentlemen, just thought I'd add my .02 worth.

My interest was peaked until I saw Date Check was required. Damn it, boo.....

I suppose if it weren't for Providers, TER wouldn't exist.  Although, I do know that TER was set up for safety and possible rip-offs for the men, but with the providers on board here it keeps it harmonious.

It is quite a negative board, I find it hard to post much here.

Thanks Megan

:)

DB does not have anymore info on scams than you or me.  He looks at the ads and then looks up the number on here.  Anyone could provide this service.

I hope he's always right, otherwise it could have some drastic consequences for the Lady in question......

I think your point is well stated and suggestion is excellent.

Since there is no method of posting a review of those who are known scams without having seen them I think adding a forum or database to post this type of information would be more useful to the entire TER community and not just here in DC.

But it would need to be setup so the required information and proof or evidence will protect those who are new providers and just getting started from being called a scam without proof.

Much of what is posted by DB911 is speculation from experience and not based on fact or evidence. Even so he is probably right most of the time.

And when someone only post a url and no other data it doesn't help when searching by name, email, phone number et...

And I thought TER had asked him to keep all his scam post to one thread per page so not to flood the board and push all other post's off. One day a while back more than 50% of all new post's were his, it became the DB911 show that day. Hope it doesn't return to that but he continues to provide the services he has been doing.

inparticular the part about a central data base that could allow national cross referencing of scam artist! Scammers in CA can be outted when they bring their show to the east coast.
