If the Theme Day Pics are now considered an ad, I will not post in them if I need to do an ad that week.  Does it also mean we can only post once a week for theme day pics??  Please explain this change in detail.  Also, if the Ta Ta Tuesday thread is considered an ad, please remove it so I can place a real ad next week.  Thanks.

Perhaps this change has something to do with the new format...am not sure. However, from my perspective, if this new format (ruling) is hindering my viewing and reading of my favorite provider(s) such as Baltimore Betty - now that's not right! I (we) pay for this service and if it does not serve me (us) then what's the point? I personally always look for Ta Ta Tuesday and Tushy Thursday, especially when favs like Baltimore Betty and Mea Culpa participate. Personally, if they start "disappearing" then, my purpose here is finished. Of course one person's opinion does not make the grade - I understand that. But is the principle and commitment that most of your longtime members have had with this board that makes this board survive. I am "addicted" to seeing my fav(s) on Ta Ta Tuesday and Tushy Thursday, so please TER, bring back the good old format. I am writing this note from your classic template. This should have been part of the db911 thread on why the new format sucks. Like I said, it is just one person's opinion.

Thanks for your post.  It is very frustrating.  Although, I think I understand it now.  We (providers) cannot post a theme day picture thread unless we post it as being an ad.  The reason for this is so the post will not be pushed to the top of the page when commented on.  The same goes for our ads.  It is also my understanding that the theme day pics will not be counted as an ad.  I did not understand this when I pulled the post.  We can try again...

It does appear all ads and theme day threads will be pushed to the bottom if there are other threads being commented on.  But with the new setup, there is a lot more room for front page threads.  That is one positive I can pull from it so far.

I think if all the other changes/improvements were made and the boards were left alone, most of us would be very happy.  But as with anything else, we need to give this a chance I guess.  Many of us don't like this change.  Myself included.  Let's see how it all evolves over the next 30 days.  I figure it might take at least that long for TER to work out quirks and make necessary changes.

Why not make it so the "Provider Ad" box doesn't show up unless both the Link URL and Picture URL have been filled in?  Or have the website ask with an alert, "Is this a provider ad" in that case before it is posted?

And I'm not clear.  Are we not going to be allowed to ask questions, start discussions nor do photo theme posts without them being seen as ads?

Please explain to everyone because it is not clear.
