Like most hobbyists I use a burner phone. Never received a call on it that wasn't from a girl I had tried getting a hold of.  

Today I got an incoming call from Private Number.  I answered it but the caller hung up.

Is this an LE tactic? Maybe they are onto my number? Maybe I'm just being ridiculously paranoid today.

The number you have probably was used by one or more others in the past - for the hobby or some other purpose - so any number of people could have tried to reach someone else.

I doubt they would go to all that trouble to catch a potential misdemeanor crime.  

especially since they have to catch you in the act and it would take a whole hell of a to to get from Point A of cold calling numbers to point B of arresting a client for soliciting a prosititute.

I think carrying around 2 phones complicates your life. And if you are worried about SO finding out you would have a lot of splaining to do if she found it. Would rather just erase call and text histories. If you get anything weird, can just say it was a wrong number
