If you worked for a business (and rec'd some type of compensation for it) I would send in a letter describing customer service beyond the call of duty to you supervisor. However, since I don't know who that is or if you really have one, I'll say thanks to you.

First off  - a reminder of what the two mean:

Banned - an agency or provider will be banned for a number of reasons, such as posted self-reviews, spamming the TER mail system, regularly breaking/ignoring other TER rules.

Delisted - an agency or provider asks that all of their reviews be removed from TER.

Ok - so that out of the way, here is a partial list of banned/delisted angencies/providers.  Some of these are local, some national, but seem to come up here a lot....

Being on it does not mean anything.  It contains good and bad providers/services since some get on the list by request and others for reasons having nothing to do with the quality of the services that they provide.

Agreed NVD.  Under TER rules (which we may not agree with), the list MUST exist.  Good or bad, those on the list cannot be reviewed or posted about on TER.  You, I and others might not like it, but that's the way things are.  If we want to set up a review website, then WE can make the rules.  Until then, we just have to suck it up.  We can complain (for what little good it will do).  The left coast knows everything, after all!

And yet there is no official link to the list by TER -- it is an invisible editor.  It seems to me that if there were better moderators, then bad reviewers and bad agencies/escorts would be removed more quickly or never put up.  Who moderates the moderators?

...delisting is something which the providers request for THEMSELVES.  The reasons that they would are numerous and too long to explain here.  Needless to say it is not a decision which they can take lightly (I believe it cannot be undone or reversed).

 As you said, banning is something which is done by TER staff in California for the reasons given by RC.

I am well aware that some agencies / providers ask to be delisted -- by Themselves.  My point is that, in talking to some providers, sometimes you get a huge creep here on TER who posts fake reviews to damage an agency or escort, and the moderators have taken little action, thus leading to an agency's ultimate action of asking to be delisted.  In talking to some providers, it appears to very difficult for providers to contest fradulent reviews.  Remember, TER has a vested interest to side with the reviewer, since they are being paid by them, than to side with the provider.  And its not like an agency/provider can sue for defamation :)

Providers pay for VIP membership just like hobbyists do.  In fact, they have no option to review to get membership time credits.  Without VIP, reading pm's and the "juicy details" in reviews is not possible.  So, providers wouldn't really be able to read the entirity of their reviews without VIP membership.

 As for TER favoring hobbyists over providers for any other reason, the entire hobby is based upon our mutual needs.  It is a smybiotic relationship between the two.  Without either, the whole thing would collapse (of course we don't have to worry about that).

 As for bogus reviews, yes they do exist.  They are originated both by hobbyists AND providers.  The local moderator cannot handle that issue.  That is a home office problem in California.  As has been posted here many times, there are a LOT of "home office problems".  I believe they are just too busy to handle the issues of this hobby for the entire country.

And is doing a fine job.... unfortunately, we are cheap employers and he works for nothing more then our appreciation and gratitude. You could say it's a thankless job - but many do thank him - I go one step further and would buy him a beer if I could ever get that time and location thing worked out.....

I've been found - of course there are a couple of dozen other fine young animals at this place. The fact of the matter is, lap dances are over priced so it's not likely I'll be found in the lounge. However, I do enjoy sitting at the bar waiting for those dancers to come around and spread that too sweet perfume all over my face for a buck.

That's where you will find me - with bill between teeth waiting to give it up... Afterwards - off to my low cost AMP to take away the mixed up perfume by table shower...

I can vouch for at least one of the banned agencies being a bad rap. And there are many obviously fake reviews for banned providers I have seen, not nescessarily submitted by those providers, more likely by a useless dickhead wanting an extra 2 weeks free TER VIP membership. That they are fake is obvious by claiming acts the girls don't do or furniture. etc that doesn't exist at the incall. It's too bad TER is so ham-handed in banning agencies and doesn't explain their rationale. TER could be wrong after all.
