As I have previously posted, I am circling your fine city as we speak (type) and planning my decent into DC this winter. Keeping you warm is my intention If any of you seasoned hobbyists can tell me the very best section to stay in I would be very appreciative

Split your time between Tysons Corners in VA and Dupont Circle in DC.

Or, I'll go see you where ever you stay!!!

Tyons is an option, but then you're 20-30 minutes from DC.

If you stay a week, split your time between the two.

And that's the truth.

Hey Cara,

If you do happen to come here in the next couple of months, I’d recommend staying in the Foggy Bottom/Georgetown area in NorthWest D.C. if you get a chance.  It is convenient with nice hotels and is perhaps the safest area in all D.C.  As has been mentioned, Dupont Circle is also nice and convenient.
