I met with a lady  who told me she was totally independent. However, when I asked if she checked my references, she said she did. But when I asked the referees, they said they hadn't heard from anyone. Plus, she said she was responding to my texts and emails, but I had an eerie feeling that it was someone else. There were a few other elements that had me to believe she was working for a service.  What  do providers and hobbiests think about this?

I say when something seems fishy, you just have to have the self control to walk away.  Even if it's an honest mistake, sometimes things just aren't meant to be, and there is too much risk. There are plenty of reputable providers and agencies who won't give you the runaround like this.

EDIT:  Didn't read the message correctly.. you already met her.. still sounds fishy.  Move on to someone else.

use a booker, and most of the times the booker is the one you are talking to. Now there are also some bookers who could be pimps in reality, so you never know..

Where did you find this provider? Does she have decent reviews on TER? Is there drama associated with her on the boards or else where? Have you tried back channeling with her reviewers (provided she has reviews, of course)

You need to consider whether to walk away or pursue the appointment in context of all the above questions...

I have had the pleasure to have dealt with several personal assistants in the area that some of the ladies use.They have been very good to work with and never had any issues with things like late cancellations or double bookings etc. I also had the misfortune to try to book with Danielle Derek before Christmas when she was here with Cindy Valentino.I would get e-mails for the PA or from Cindy/Danielle and got nothing but the run a round from the PA trying to schedule an appointment AFTER I had passed the screening.

If something feels weird to you or the process to schedule is way too complicated then move on and find someone else and always do your homework here before deciding what you are going to do.

Just a thought

She may found other info .. But its always best for the girl to get a reference
