Snow Day Discountsregular_smile

When it snows hard enough to close all public activities, snow warnigs and advisories are in affect - I wonder how it affects the providers.

As I see it, they probably see fewer guys willing to risk the weather and drive to an incall location.

So, are you losing business?

Would you consider discounts on days like these?

Would it be worth it to you - or do you enjoy the time off?

It's not likely I would go out in bad weather. But, if some offered a 50% discount or 2hrs for the price of one - Geez, on go the snow shoes, ski's, snowboard, sled, or what ever it would take -like my very big 4x4 SUV :O) and off I go...

Now, how many guys stay in when there is bad weather? Would it inspire you to go out if the made offers like these?

Trying to weasel a discount on a snow day -- when in fact most of us just get hornier and hornier the longer we stay on this board.  What's a little snow when bootie calls?  LOL

P.S.  Let us know where you find the deals!

I chickened out of an appointment due to the snow.  1.5 hours of drive time just doesn't seem worth it.  But now I'm stuck reading this board instead of experiencing the real thing.  Sucks to all hell.  steve

Weasel out - I think not. Not looking to get something for nothing. I was curious to know that the providers would think. When sales are down - those who market services offer discounts.

But I've just realized something of value - transportation services. Got big Chevy Suburban, seats 8, TV, VCR, leather seats, tinted windows,  and full tank of gas - LOL.... Who needs a ride to their date? Or a ride for the providers to incall location - or even outcall location - LOL.... Heck – I can take out last row of seats and make a mobile playground.

Slipry, is the vcr a stand alone unit or does it do Beta tapes too?

Why do you ask - got some good Beta format tapes? I'm sure there's a player somewhere in my collection of old and unused electronic.

I've considered installing a drop down monitor with a DVD player, but my 15" laptop does just fine.

Anyway - I would assume the crisis is over and biz is back to usual. However, after reading through another report below this, I would have to say there is a something to be said about my offer as it appears some of those who couldn't get out started showing signs of aggression from being stuck inside all day.

And Tracy, the point of my offer was with Safety in mind - I'm one of the most cautious 4X4 driver around - hehehe - that's when I'm not talking on my cell phone or watching the TV, looking at the posts on my laptop or something like this.

I wish I had offered a snowy day discount.  I received numerous inquiries yesterday but didn't want to jeopardize my safety or the safety of others.  A shame too, I needed some warming up!
