Fellas, I know we have all been there, waiting for the second call back to get the room number.  What do you guys do in that time span?  Some of us can't just stroll through the lobby without being stopped, if you get my drift.

I generally sit down in the lobby with the phone on my air like i am waiting for someone or a guest conducting business.  I simply try zoning out so not to appear self-concious and obvious that I am about to get laid.  I bet it shows though if anyone were to look at my inseam lol

I just sit there like I'm waiting for someone, which I am. I always see other people waiting around; perhaps they are waiting for the call back to get the room number as well. :-)

Find the Lounge, and watch TV.  Maybe, use the restroom, if you need to.

Depends on location. Usually I hang out down the street a bit..Starbucks, etc... I do not hover in the lobby. Anywhere outside the lobby doors is better...IMHO. For the plausible denial benefit it affords..

I usually...read the NYT, or (if I have patient call backs, I return calls, or dictate leters to referring MD's)...kinda' like that..cause when the call comes in to me...it re-energizes me..but, that is just me!

Nothing like a good ol' breakfast beer.

Less chance of being seen, quiet comfortable and then when the call comes, you can stride rigth through the lobby as if you know where you are going - which you do!

. . . if you don't want to be seen but, when the call comes, I want to be in the room in record time. :-(

1.  Go to the bar area of the hotel for bottled water.
2.  Work on my blackberry
3.  if parked in valet, go to the elevator if there is no other area and pick a floor.  I have even walked from the floor to the stairs and on the elevator.
4.  the other suggestions have also worked.
5.  When parked on the street I stay in the car.
