If you are a provider and want to find a gentlemen to take you a concert, how do you go about it?   I want to be taken to the Rolling Stones on June 24...

Has any other providers been in this situation where you wanted one of your clients (new or established) to take you to a concert or theatre (etc).... vs them making the suggestion?

Thanks for the input

It sounds like fun, Andrea, who would not want to go if they could.  Better yet, ask me!

With any good seats to The Rolling Stones concert in the DC area going for up to $1,000 and some are even more. To ask a guy to lay out 2 grand to take you to a concert, your pushing it. Hey your not his wife or GF, remember that.

Ask yourself this " Would you spent that kind of money to take someone you really don't know to a concert."

My guess is NO, and if your not willing to do what the hell makes you think some else will ??

On Wednesday I heard seats were $500 per and today they are probably higher; I guess someone could take you but you'd better be willing to do an overnight

Ah Andrea -- I have tickets and would love to take you, but I am taking my daughter and her boyfriend.  And, yes, tickets are ridiculously expensive.

I would never ask for anyone to spend that kind of money on me.. not even someone that I was married too.... I was asking for maybe the $400 tickets.. not even the $600 tickets.

If I was a guy and I really liked the group (and I could afford the tickets) but didnt want to go alone, I would definitely go to TER to find myself a fun date

Need more info on what you had in mind...

Did you just want to go to a concert and that's it? Or would the date include going back for a session afterwards?

Are to expecting him to pay for the 2-3 hours of your time at the concert plus tickets plus any playtime afterwards?

you want to persuade someone to take you to an uber expensive concert without him offering first, you should propose the concert is off the clock and then a couple hours of playtime afterwards.

Be realistic about it. I know some girls never do off the clock which I think is ridiculous if the client is spending that kind of coin outside of a session during during which surly you will have a good time.

either lame or obvious with the exception of Jessie's "just ask", which is good, simple and clear.

You probably have a feel for who is safe to approach. Some guys will think your asking is "pushy". Some are more laid back about that sort of thing. Just ask the less uptight guys.

Disclaimer: I'm not available on June 24 and not VIP. I'm mostly just lurking and UTR these days. So PMs blasting me for being a WK will not be read anytime soon

that the lady will not pay here own way.  I always offer to purchase my own ticket if I ask for companionship to a concert.  Yes, off the clock. Also the gent is also a big fan of the particular artist/band since it is only fun to go to a concert with someone who is a fan.

Good luck Andrea.

Good to see you posting Claudius

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.  I can't imagine you won't have some fans who would love to make that offer.  I don't really understand why anyone would think any private time should be included though.  The off the clock time seems like more than a reasonable trade off.  I would think they could always pay for some private time later.

I also think it was nice of you to let people know you are interested.  I have had extra tickets to events like this in the past and would have loved to have seen this offer.  Or like you said, maybe someone was thinking of going, but didn't have anyone they were interested in going with.  This could very well be just what they were looking for.  There are guys on here all the time fishing for just this kind of situation all of the time.  Good Luck!

Yes. Simplicity and clarity is the best wisdom. I think both of you (Andrea and Jessie) know that.

Thanks for the posting appreciation, Jessie. I still plan to be a bit quiet. Will catch up with you soon.

I love the fact that you just tossed this out there!!
I see nothing wrong with your request ( of course, I don't!!) I wanted to go the the Mayweather fight
That just passed on April 4th in Las Vegas. I kept bringing it up in passing and especially to my regulars.
2 weeks before the fight I was given a ticket! And not a nose bleed seat!
Some may not want to purchase a tic and that's fine... But there are plenty who would love
to help a girl in heels out!! Good luck!!

I would love it if a provider asked me to attend a concert or sporting event with her.  Especially if we planned some playtime after.  How fun would it be at a concert with a beautiful woman anticipating all night what you'll be doing to each other later.  Mmmm......

"Wait, have a personal life too?" means that you have personal interest and a life outside of the hobby. Some of these guys are so use to paying for it that they don't see that. Yeah, its like that dealing with this crowd that always pay to play, LMAO.

Some providers have blogs on their personal website, use tweets, or other forms of social media to  make up-to-date announcements. Saw this one provider posted a blog on her website that she was looking for a specific fruit (yes, fruit, the kind you eat) and she'll give anyone a discount if they bring that to a "meeting".

You too can use this method of social media. If your personal website has a blog section then you can blog your interest and see where what turns out. You never know until you try. Or, you can make some kind of announcement that relates to your "exchanges" to persuade your audience. For example, you can say "I like someone to take me out to the Rolling Stone concert. I can provide free good company. If you pay for the tickets, then we can have a good time afterwards at my place. No cost for the [*good time] afterwards of course. **Wink, wink ;)"

About the TER threads: There will be positive and negative threads. The sane people will see your point while the insane will waste your time with their silly replies. Sometimes when I read these replies, it truly makes me LMAO.

Like a girl can't ask a simple and honest question on the boards? Give me a break. Girlfriend, don't let these silly replies discourage you from asking future questions or participating on the boards. Some of these guys will never get it, LMAO. Oh, wait, that's why they always have to pay for sex, LMAO.

The Stones really cut prices on the West Coast when they could not sell out. Maybe they'll do the same here. Glad I saw them in 1977 for $30.00! Most I ever paid for a ticket was $300.00 for the last concert Cream ever did.

The upper deck ($150) is sold out, plenty of seats available down low ($600+).  The opening two nights of the tour did not sell out. The setlists have been awesome, they are really pulling some nuggets and great guests every night.

contrary to the negativity and paranoia of some of the responses here i have enjoyed events "out" with Andrea. she has been very fair about such things.

i really don't see why there is such cynicism and negativity on this thread.

Thank you for all your feedback on my question.

It has been interesting to see all the comments. Especially the negative ones that made a lot of assumptions about me.  But, these negative comments did not hurt my feelings for I truly believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  I knew when I posted the question, I would get both.

Thank you everyone again for your feedback

Andrea

We are customers last I checked. If you can find some lonely pushover guy to supply you with tix and all you have to do is be his arm candy, then GOOD LUCK.

My advice is to see extra clients and pay your own way.

Sorry for flaming you but this is a clear example of when someone oversteps her/his bounds.

I feel very friendly towards my few providers, but I try to stay very conscious of boundaries and remember (except when "in the moment") that this is a commercial transaction and her time outside our agreed-for space is hers and not mine.

So, anytime I might be tempted to ask a provider to go with me to an event I would expect compensation would be a part of it and generally I wouldn't want to pay the normal hourly rate for a concert date.

I would agree with Jessie, just ask.  But be prepared for the ghost of the commercial aspect of your relationship to make the response awkward.  Just blurt out what your expectations would be -- If he paid for the tickets the time at the concert and dinner before/after would be off the clock, or whatever you have in mind.  He can tell you what he is willing to do.  You ought to cover up front what the conditions of between-the-sheets afterwards will be, too.  I would expect that after a Stones concert you will both be horny as hell.

Cue music .... "Don'cha think there's a place for you,
in between the sheets ...."
