i know providers from all over the place check these regional boards. i’ll be traveling to texas for the first time and i know the south has a history of being racist. should i ask any potential provider i might want to meet if they’re melanin friendly before making an appt?

Most providers with race/ethnicity preferences usually say so in their ads. That might not be a 100% guarantee, but it's a pretty good place to start. And there are a variety of reasons why they may have such preferences other than the one you seem to assume is true. For example, I've seen plenty of AA providers who prefer not to see AA clients. You'd have to ask them why that is. I also think the stereotype many have of the South is no longer accurate and hasn't been for quite some time.

There are three Texas discussion boards on TER: Austin, Dallas, and Houston. You haven't posted this inquiry in any of those forums. Why is that?

as i mentioned in my original post. i’m sure there are plenty of providers from all over (including texas and the south) that check the dc regional board before they travel to the east coast so that’s why i simply posted the question on the dc board

I'm sure various providers check various different regional boards, depending on their specific travel patterns. But there's no reason to think TX-based (or touring) providers would check the DC board more than they would the boards for NY, or LA, or MIA, or any other city. And it also doesn't begin to address why you didn't bother to ask your question on ANY of the TX boards as those are undoubtedly the most relevant for your query. Again, gotta SMH over this one.

Back when I saw escorts (10+ years ago), always disclosed that I am a gentlemen, intelligent, fit, attractive, successful, and African-American.  If a provider decided not to see me, I moved on to someone else.  No big deal.  Everyone is entitled to their preferences and it's better to know up front.  And I had great times in Texas with a number of lovely ladies of all ethnicities.
