Dear TER community,

I saw back in July a nice provider and had an ok time back then, and out of the blue, just recently she contacted me saying she's back in town and wants to see me again. She sent me a pic to show off her look. I'm not used to a provider contacting me like that, I'm just wondering is it normal for the provider to contact first like that, particularly with previous clients? I'm excited since she remembered me and wants to see me again and am scheduled now to see her later today.

I should mention that the provider does have some reviews on here, though I didn't post mine on here at the time.

bcc, it was intended for more than one person. That is not unusual.

Actually I kinda appreciated a lady giving me a heads up that she is coming to DC . Helps me plan.

Its a form of advertisement, unless she's just saying hi or what have you. I get mails and text often, at least 5 emails a month from visiting providers informing me they will be in the area. You don't have to reply if your not interested or if your schedule doesn't permit you. Some providers will even ask if you want them to take you off their mailing list.

I'm kinda use to it by now. Its nice, sometimes I write back just to say hi, and if I'm free, I'll try to book an appointment. If your not interested in receiving her mails, then write back and let her know, and I'm sure she'll understand.

Yes, it is normal for providers to contact their previous clients to let them know they will be in the area. Some may disagree and say that its a privacy encroachment, and that unsolicited emails should not be tolerated. Well, I'm not one of those guys, and I really don't care if I receive them. For me, its more convenient to book a provider I've already seen. Their ultimate goal for unsolicited emails are for advertisement.

I mean it truly blows my f&cking mind. I was just talking about it to a client today. If you care, make sure you tell them at the end of the session to lose your info.

You guys wanna hear some nonsense!? Twice in the past few months I have had an assistant & one of TER's top 25 ladies actually talk down to me & question my validity because I did not save the guys handle/number/email. " Sure he's seen me regularly over 3 years." but because I didnt have his full name & number saved & ready for them(I guess they couldnt ask him directly*scratches head) I was literally talked down to. " Oh? You dont have that info? And you say he's a regular of yours?" The assistant even told me at one point that she had over 1,000 clients emails. I cant even fathom why someone would want a list like that in their possession?

It's no secret that common sense eludes many people out there but, as a precaution, if I were a hobbiest, I would make it abundantly clear that, " I don't want my info saved." Its crazy because I would never want all that info on my laptop/smartphone to begin with. I dont even trust smartphones. I respect my clients & am so thankful for them. Keeping info would put them in jeopardy.

This is a sore topic with me, seriously. There are just so many reasons why saving clients information is a bad idea. Its a scary trend that Im hearing about more & more. Delete, purge, erase, remove. Please! Guys too!

Any hobbyist who takes a provider at her word (or an agency at its word) that information is deleted after verification is beyond naive.  And a hobbyist can demand all he wants that his information be deleted after verification.  Good luck making sure that it really happens.

Anything can & will be, ya know? I dont want your info on my laptop/phone any more than you want it on there. I look at everything as a possible worst case scenario & always prepare for the worst(while acting/looking my best:-D) & list of clients info can be dangerous to everyone involved if it were to get into the wrong hands.

TOTALLY agree!!!!!!!! I save nothing..lol And, I just don't get the 'being emailed/called' weekly/monthly thing...? Really?  People ask me "You need the address again?" lol Yep..I do. I don't need screening info for anything other then screening. And, unless conversating about life..you wont hear from me.  If  you contact me first, then of course. :) I'm not a solicitor. lol

And good for you, it's nice to know I'm not crazy for feeling that way too!~

xoxo Aerial~

One should always assume that their screening data is kept. I know a provider who was busted twice this year. Each time her laptop and cell phones were confiscated. On her laptop was her client list that had all of the screening information that was collected from her contact form on her work website and notes made before and after the sessions. Also, her emails and her p411 and datecheck accounts were accessed as well as her smartphone. In addition to this, she had a personal assistant working and traveling with her. Those two had a falling out and her assistant contact many of her clients even mailing out her client list. So, if you think your data is not kept, think again. There really is no way around this; it's just a part of modern day life in the "information age"

Once the connection has been made once it's not really any different than the Ford dealer writing and "reminding" you that the new models are out.  It's business.

You can always hit the delete key if a lady writes and you're not interested.  And those I am pretty sure I will never be interested in seeing again I politely let know that I'm unlikely to be out there way any time in the forseeable future.

But mostly I'll send back a polite note, and either see them or not as fits the ocassion.

Most the guys who have an issue with this kind of e-mail are the ones who are careless with their phones and e-mails.

And I always respond yes, no or maybe. To me, it's the same if a client contacts a provider who is not running an ad in their area. Not all providers who are available advertise. Some like to be in certain geographical areas UTR or at least think they are UTR. Sometimes the clients slip up and post something that lets people know they were there working, etc.

As a matter of fact, i was thinking about this very topic today at work.  i have a provider occasionally send me emails.  i actually haven't even met her.  i once tried to schedule a meeting with her, but my scheduling fell through.  no wrong on her part, but i just couldn't get my schedule to click with hers. no matter, move it along right? i wasn't like roaring to meet her, although she is very attractive and what not, but just not that pressed to see her you know what i mean? i guess she felt that it was okay to contact me via email, since it was our method of correspondance, but i am beginning to think that an email out of the blue is risky.  i am actually considering to ask her not to contact me any more, although i may see her in the near future.  ha. how do i do this i ask? btw,  tamsen i think you're very up standing to say what you say about holding a clients info, and julia i actually understand where you come from as well. i wouldn't want some douche to use my info with a provider whom i have a good rep with. any way... it is all evil, which is the lesser of the evils? to each his/her own.  this crazy game we all like to play doesn't get any less crazy does it?

their clients info, there are ways and sites that allow you to keep all your info safely off your computer but still have the info if and when you need it, but out of the wrong hands if anything were to happen and your laptop got seized. I don't contact clients out of the blue as I don't want to infringe on their privacy, but I do have many clients, regulars and potential ones as well, who ask me to notify them when I am back in town, and those are the ones that I will contact.

Hugs,
Bobbi

traveling around the country crossing line after line. And is the list ever cleaned out? Maintained? Or does one just add email, number, & person one after the other, after the other, after the other.......

F&ck that! F&cking scary. People know where to find you if they want to book you. If you arent shot the f&ck out you can remember your clients for reference purposes. I have seen people fall so f&cking hard because of the info they saved. It screwed them & the clients. Surely ladies, you can understand this? Especially if youve been around a bit, then youve seen it happen before too. So risky! Assume nothing & expect everything! Please be careful ladies. Purge & delete, purge & delete.

expect (and always get) a heads-up email 2 weeks before I make my tour plans public... that way I can give them priority scheduling during my visit.

I love my sexy "out of town" friends!

That's what I was thinking. If its through email it's simple enough to make a hobby email just for that. I appreciate all the responses as it gives me an insight of how to go about hobbying. However, I forgot to mention an important detail it seems. The provider in question texted me, not email. That provider prefers text communication. At least with email it's simpler to set up just for that. Not sure I feel comfortable with texting with a provider now that my info can't be safeguarded. How many providers communicate via text? I guess this is why most providers say to not text??

I got on a text list from a woman I called but never went to, some sort of massage business.  I ignore it and a couple years later no texts.  I had one escort email me and some others she saw after she retired.  I think she wanted to make some money but wanted only certain clients.  It's like being on the A-list of an UTR.  I bet if I contact her now and she replies I might be one of only a few she entertains.  I do understand your worry though especially if you have a SO like I.  My SO wanted to borrow my phone when her's broke at one time.  It depends on how active you are at the time whether you give it to her or not.  I have heard some escort calling clients if they need money.  Try to avoid those types and go for the more professional escorts.  Most are professional and realize you don't want to be called.
