END OF MESSAGE

I was in San Diego for a conference.  Prior to heading out there I found a lady I liked and tried to make contact with her and see if she would agree to meet me.  The email communication wasn't the smoothest but she did final agree to meet.  After I arrived in San Diego I contacted her and setup an outcall appointment.  Though I normally would have preferred incall this lady only had one review, and it was the only reviewer the hobbyist had posted so I was willing to take the plunge but was a little on my guard.  After she tells me she's on the way I let her know hotel key cards are needed for the elevator so she should let me know when she's arriving and I'll be waiting for her in the hotel bar.

When she's about 10 mins out she sends a text saying she wants to meet me outside to give money to her driver for her safety and I say "no thanks" I'm not going out to meet the dude.  A few minutes later she tells me it's OK, she'll come inside and meet me to get the money then head back to pay her driver, then come back in to meet me.  At this point I'm ready to bail, but you now how it goes when they have really nice pics online so I'm still OK with taking the risk.  A few minutes after that I get another text telling me she's trapped on the 11th floor because you need a hotel key to use the elevator?

At that point I punt and call it off.  As long as I've been doing this, I can honestly say this is the first time I've cancelled for a reason like this.  At the time I was thinking that this is 90% likely a ripoff.  Now I can't help but wonder if maybe she was just new to the business?

Anyway, what would you guys have done?  Stuck it out to see what happened or bail?

Sounds shady as fuck.

Those incidents when the lady needs to "give money to my driver, but don't worry I'll be back" never usually go well.

To be honest, you should have never even contacted her in the first place, with only one review and the reviewer having only given one review. Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

Sure, providers have to start somewhere, I personally am just not willing to be a guinea pig.

I would have had to go to the 11th floor just to see her. But bailing was a wise choice.

I'd have done the same. Too many unknowns. Could have gone south in several different ways - shakedown, bust....just to name a couple.

and gave her ample benefit of the doubt.

The "I'll take the money to my driver" and "I have to go get condoms" lines are the hallmarks of the cash'n'dash scam in soooo many cases. You can't know for sure, but I think you may have dodged a bullet

of course I agree with your decision.  One review by an unproven reviewer?  Can't you do better than that in San Diego?

I think I would have done exactly what you did, that being said, stick to girls with more than one review.

New to the game or not.....bringing the money to the driver dude was a BIG RED FLAG.  At that request I woulda said no and cancelled the appointment.
