Many restaurant choices in DC, Urber or Lift, strange city, parking garages close early.  There are more highly rated ones, but here are a few of my Fav.  
- Dram & Grain under Jack Rose Dining Saloon (great whiskey bar) cool craft cocktails and small plates  
- Osteria Morini Italian at the Navy Yard, great everything and craft drinks
-  Le Diplomate, French, well it is DC
- Old Ebbitt Grill, great vibe and food
- Fiola Mare have to try the lobster ravioli
- Obelisk for Tagliolini with squash blossoms
