Depending on your insurance if you think your partner had HIV you could take PREP which is a Pre-Exposure Prophylactic (google it). If you are not sure you might have to wait a while to get a valid test, go see your dr. or the local DC clinic. Whitman Walker Clinic will see you for free if you do not have the financial means.

Ask your partner if they have been recently tested and hang in there.

they offer free testing regardless of your income. Just remember to bring your burner phone number because they require contact information.  I don't know what they offer in terms of emergencies like exposure-last-night.  Good luck and don't panic

The HIV test results take only 10 minutes from the time you give them a blood sample.  But ask them how long after exposure you should be tested to be sure there's no false negative.

I have never had a trojan condom break. Durex yes, they are only good for cbj imho.

I had that scare a few years ago with a provider during missionary position. Freaked me out because I came and did not realize the condom broke until I pulled it out. Both I and the provider were freaked out. Luckily she did not get pregnant. I got tested and nothing showed up. I was phew. After getting the std results my blood pressure went went back to normal.

Should I immediately start PEP: Post Exposure Prophylaxis - to be on the safe side

When should I get a STI/STD test? I've heard to wait a few days but I rather get it ASAP.

I asked her and agency if she was "clean" - they both said yes

Either way - I'm getting tested for HIV today or tomorrow.

I used Kimonos (condom brand)

you need to research PEP and anything else that might be useful immediately.

Anyone saying they are "clean" is of zero usefulness. What else would they say? Plus they cannot constantly know whether she was infected or became infectious since whenever her last test was.

The Whitman Clinic isn't open until tomorrow - I'll have to use Oraquick and go to Whitman Clinic when it immediately opens. I rather be on PEP for 28 days than screw up the rest of my life.

Serious question for everyone - so do not flame me.

This thread is a little alarmist, but I respect that, so respect my question.   What are the odds of contracting a serious STD with a broken condom with a typical provider?    Now - keep your answer in mind.     If your answer is high  (meaning that you could easily catch a serious STD), then do you realize that condoms are only 90-95% effective against these?

So then should we be hobbying

So, generally, providers are more conscious of STDs given their chosen profession/hobby.  Hence, they probably get tested more; probably don't do BB with anyone OTHER than their SOs.  And probably are more conscious of the various tricks of the trade, if you will, of precautions to take to lower risks of STDs.

Civi's are probably less "in tune" with the need to be STD conscious as there rendezvous are more random and spur of the moment.  Hence, one would suspect that if you know you're gonna be having sex with multiple partners over multiple days then one should take the necessary precautions.

With that said, I've been with my share of providers who made it obvious, without explicitly telling me, that if I wanted to go BB that would be a viable option.  NOT!!

Long story short, your odds are generally better with NOT contracting an STD with a provider than with a civi

There are some speciality AIDS clinics...etc.  Also might be worth it to ask the lady you were with when was the last time she was tested.  I get tested every 3 months and am always happy to offer dates etc.   It is no guarantee of course but it can ease the mind.  Now that does not stop you from having been exposed in the vanilla world...if you really want to take care, don't have sex or at least unprotected sex until you know that YOU are truly cleared from the scare.  Consider doing a full Std screening since you are checking anyways.

Nothing is sexier than a thoughtful and respectful clean gent!

Bad news first:

If you did contract HIV, you won't test positive for 6-8 weeks post exposure. It takes time for the virus to build up in the body and also for the body to generate antibodies against it (seroconversion). The majority of HIV tests test for antibodies, which won't show up in the 6-8 week window.

The good news:

To put things in perspective, the vast majority of escorts (not counting streetwalkers) don't have HIV (this of course depends on the area of the country you are). Even if she was positive (highly unlikely), the odds of contracting HIV from a single vaginal exposure is ~1 in 2000. It is much easier for women to contract HIV from men than the other way around. So, let's just say that 1/50 sex workers are HIV positive (way over-estimate), your odds of contracting HIV from this exposure is about (1/50)x(1/2000) = 1/100,000 (probably lower than that). So that's 1 transmission in about 100,000 sexual acts. So for perspective, the odds of getting struck by lightning is 1/12,000. So basically, your odds of contracting HIV is at least 10x less than being struck by lightning.

Of course, all things being said, if it will put your mind at ease, I would say get the test at about 6 weeks from now. I am confident that it will be negative. In the mean time, try to put your mind at ease and know that you were smart in using protection.

When you are in the condom isle looking to buy condoms go with the brand names. Don't go for the cheapest ones. I personally hate and will not use ONE condoms. That brand a few years back was recalled and I just will not go there. Hate Trojans but they work. They just have this super strong latex smell it's awful. I like Durex and then Lifestyles. Have never had them break on me.

Unless you have a cut or abrasion on your cock hen don't worry about it. Quite honestly she has a greater risk of getting something from you. An immediate STD screening is not going to be accurate because almost all STDs have a window period that they don't show up in tests. Just stay calm and go on about life as usual. Humanity would stop having sex if they would get contaminated just with contact. I am 99.999% sure that you got nothing from the provider. I hope yu at the very least washed your cock as soon as you could.
