Coming to D.C. in a couple weeks and one of my favorite toys just finally bit the dust! In need of a decent flogger, all the sex shops where I live (New Orleans) only carry novelty kink items for the most part and I fear I won't have enough time to get one shipped online. Any recommendations? TIA

There used to be a couple of shops on Wisconsin Ave just below M street in G'town.

 
Many, many years ago some of my buddies and I went to G'town and cut our afternoon classes at GMU and went to G'town.  We checked out Sunny's Surplus and a buddy of mine purchased a billy club there.  We then went to Sex Shop on M street diagonally across the street just to check it out.  I told my buddy to stay several steps behind us when we left the store since he had his billy club with him in a brown paper bag.  He didnt understand. I just said do it. When we walked out and down M street he couldn't understand why he was getting all these weird looks.
