Pretty please, could anyone recommend a great place i.e.:hotel) to stay at in these areas? I prefer 3.5star & above but last time I booked a place where you needed a room key to get upstairs. ...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY! Oops! Convenient parking & decent Internet access are also some obvious factors. I feel odd if I call the places to ask them something like that. Fairly certain it will raise a red flag!!! I don't even know if its cool to post that all here so, perhaps, PM me?? Ladies or gentlemen... You've stayed or visited... Let me know. The area is quite convenient to me and I don't want to miss out. I already found the restaurants & shopping. THAT was easy! thanks in advance xoxo

Thanks!! I wasn't sure bc gentlemen are the ones visiting, parking etc, which board would work best. Also, I need to be approved to go there. I suppose I should request to be permitted again. It is probably a bit below the level of placed that you typically choose, but i have one in Crystal City that I have twice recommended to providers and it works out GREAT.  

It is inexpensive, in a very safe area, has all the standard amentities AND has outside access to the rooms which means you do not have clients passing through the lobby all of the time.  Downside?  Not right in Crystal City proper, so you will have maybe a mile drive (hmmm  3/4 mile) to enjoy the ambiance and shops/restaurants (but that also makes for nice walk?!).  Looks like it is actually considered part of Pentagon City, it is right on the border of the two.  

Anyhoos....will throw it out here instead of PMs as maybe it helps someone else too.  If you "shop" for this place, can usually find it just under $100.

but on your next stay in Crystal City, you'll definitely wanna check out the Renaissance Arlington Potomac View.  Spectacular hotel with great views!  Wish I'd seen your post earlier!

Someone I see regularly told me how she screens the key card thing. She calls the hotel and says "My daughter is traveling alone and I'm looking for a hotel with good security. Do you have key card access on your elevators?"

If the answer is yes, she books somewhere else.
