I am sad to say, that my music collection is at an all time low (lol). I swing from Luther Vandross to Tim McGraw, with a little Jazz from time to time. I need to add something new. Any suggestion would be helpful....

Nora Jones, Zero 7 is really nice, Hiroshima can't miss there

I'm a fan of film scores. Hans Zimmer is a genius. Carter Burwell, Klaus Badelt, Trevor Rabin, and Tyler Bates are very good as well. My favorite would be "Time" from the Inception soundtrack. "Bella's Lullaby" from Twilight is very moving also. The 300 score is amazing, but is often too intense for some people.

Hi Rose, I have XM Satellite Radio.  Every kind of music you can imagine.  Country, Rock, Jazz, Oldies, Raggae, you name it. XM 71 is especially nice when entertaining

She is a gem and from the DC area. Deceased now at an early age but you can get her stuff on Itunes etc. Fabulous voice. Enjoy!!!

Cool, sexy Argentinian down tempo: Gotan Project, Frederico Aubale.  Similar Brazilian: anything by Bebel Gilberto, soundtrack to Wonderland.  Faux funk down tempo: Scorpio Rising by Thunderball (a Thievery Corporation group).

Not a song writer but an incredibly varied stylist. She went from country to jazz, rhythm & blues and soul. DC's go go pioneer, Grammy award nominee, Chuck Brown helped her career but her music only started really selling after she died. I saw her guitarist, Keith Grimes last weekend playing with the Crawstickers.

There's certainly jazz influence in there but I find it great ambience music...
