My house would be a lot of fun, but not sure how I would explain it to my wife.  That being the case I think most ladies tend to choose the Dupont Circle area...Tysons seems the be becomming more of a destination as well.  The advantage with Dupont is metro  [ our subway system] and so much more to do and see.

Planning on visiting DC for the first time. Never been there and could use some advice on which area to stay. Thanks

Hi and welcome.

Most girls that come to DC stay somewhere in the triangle formed by Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom and Georgetown, or stretching a little further downtown into the office districts around 14th St and K St. There are lots of nice hotels, as well as plenty of good restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc.

Some choose to stay in Northern Virginia instead, and here the clear winner is Tysons Corner. This seems to be getting more popular. It's about 20 minutes from downtown DC.

Finally, Baltimore seems to have become more of a destination itself, especially the area around the BWI airport. That's too far for me to bother with, but guys that live in suburban MD find it convenient.

If you haven't been here before, I would stick with the area around DupontCircle - you'll be in the heart of the city, reachable by many, and you can easily explore the city center.

Hope you have a good trip.

here we go again guys...

good luck darling.

I don't think she needs Luck, She certainly doesn't need me (lives on the poor mans hobby budget) and probably doesn't need you either... Have you read her reviews? Apparently they speak for themselves and the Dreaded Deposit has been met by many...

So, if your not interested, don't worry, I'm sure her dance card will be filled by others...

Just pick one of the 4 or 5 star hotels near the White House. You can afford it and the cost should be considered a business expense on your tax return, anyway. Judging from the your resume and productivity, you might want to schedule a lecture on entrepeneurship for young ladies. Wow! I am too old for this and need two hours, but my references are not good enough. I've made deposits, too, but doubt if that will happen again except for the convenience of paying online.
