Discreet Encounters-  Listed in yellow pages under Escorts and under massage.  Thought I would give it a try.  Ad says Full service- no ripoffs (that should have been my clue!).  Asked for a brunette, asked if she also massages (since they were listed under massage as well); she stated "no I don't massage, but I am full service".  Decided to go ahead.  Blonde shows up, figured what the hell, let her in.  Ad says, no hidden fees, she calls in to whoever, and while on the phone collects the fee, then asks for more, then asks for tip!  After all that hangs up, and we chat for about 10 minutes.  Then she asks what I want, I tell her, and then she says "oh no, we don't do that, we sign an agreement, and we don't even TOUCH our clients, we just accompany clients out for drinks or dinner or whatever just for the company".  I said that she said full service on the phone, and she said that meant they accompany their clients anywhere the client wants to go.  I told her some other time, and she left.  $300 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!  Stay away.  Complete RIPOFF!!

Lesson learned.
Go see a local or visitor with reviews and then you will know wht you get.

I confess.  Almost identical thing happened to me on my first foray ever into the hobby.  Fortunately, I found a friendly and helpful lady on my second try who directed me to a couple of boards and explained how to use them.  Listen to  Angelina's advice.  In fact, you should make arrangements to hear it from her personally -- in french.

This happened to me almost identically on my second time in the hobby;  fortunately, the first time was legit.  It was 8 years ago before internet was available so the only source of info I know of was to call from the yellow page.  I picked the larges ad in the yellow page and now I know they use multiple ads with different names.  When I asked for service, she even threatened me it was illegal even to touch her and asked me to talk to her agent on the phone while she used the diversion to escape.  

They still pull this kind of scams regularly on many innocent visitors, specially foreigners, to DC.

She used to be the 'top' listing in the ripoff board somewhere, but her listing is gone now for some reason, although I think her ad is still on EROS. Obviously I found EROS-DC on the internet before I found out about TER.
