Looks like some SPA's were hit on Wisconsin Avenue.

And I was just thinking of a visit to the new OK spa... Hope to hear they will reopen soon - most do.

I would like to know more about this, so if anyone else can come forward with information I would be grateful. I've tried to find media info about it - but there appears to be none so far.

I wonder where the CL poster got his information from. Anyone know?

Watch the DC police web site (mpdc.dc.gov)for a press release. Nothing there yet; there's a several day lag.

I just called the OK Spa and they are open for business.  I didn't ask them about being busted since I had called them before seeing this post

The news media has been hanging around these places. Better to be safe and careful.

Aside from that little item on Craig's List, I have found no evidence that any raids took place. I know of license checks that have been done (I was in a spa during one) where a couple cops come in and ask to see licenses, occupancy permit and such. My guess is that either nothing happened and it was a prank post or some nimrod saw a couple cops walk into a spa and assumed the worst. Its a story that warrants following but as far as I have been able to tell, no "raids" occured.
