*After a very difficult and disappointing weekend, I have decided to make a few changes to how I do business. I always worked on the trust end of things, unfortunately, a few people have taken advantage of that, and of me. This time, ruining my b-day plans. I spoke with a few wonderful providers here in DC and came up with a few changes that I think are both fair and reasonable.
I always loved offering pre-booking specials and being able to establish some contact with a new client prior to my trip, but I will no longer be offering that option to new clients or those who have cancelled on me in the same way. I expect resistance, and am prepared to lose some new clients because of this, but I cannot afford to have this fiasco re-played again. Therefore, I will still offer pre-booking rates to established clients, but new clients or those who have cancelled a previous appointment will need to provide a deposit in order to take advantage of that special rate (regular rates will not require a deposit).
I also will not be providing hotel information ahead of time (I always did this before so you could plan properly, but again, certain people have made this practise uncomfortable for me and indiscrete for you). Oh well, we live and learn, right?
Now, I have plenty of time open due to those cancellations (both were longer appointments) - check my schedule and help make my b-day trip a bit more successful!
