Vanessa; please post this on a new thread, alot people won't see your response. I think you deserve that..

I'm not sure what to do...I pre-booked 3 appointments with an agency (DCHotGirls) with a CC.  Had 2 of the 3 appointments...I had to cancel the 3rd and was told I would be mailed a check, since they couldnt do a credit to the account.  I know I"m an idiot for using a CC, but its been a month and still no check and I'm always told that the checks in the mail.  What should I do?  I have cut my losses but still feel like I should try and get back something.  I have used the agency before and never had a problem.  Any suggestions?

You know these are the things that really gets my blood boiling...You have some providers whether independant or agency that do things that put a bad stigma on the business.....Althought you have the agency before, you still deserve the proper execution of business etiquette....If anything you should have been charged a cancellation fee only if you were advised of it....Sad to say the check is not in the mail and it was never was.....I know sometimes we give people the benefit of the doubt but some things are just plain obvious...Believe this, there are plenty providers whether independent or agency that have good reputations and do not treat clients like idiots or the word I hate so much in the business, Johns....we truly appreciate the ones who really enjoy the Hobby!!!and we make sure that they are treated accordingly...Read about bad websites, agencies or just plain RIPOFFS section of this board!!!  Agency to try...Dream Divas!!!!!

Why don't you take a free appointment with another of the ladies and call it a day (or an hour)

he already paid for it.. how would it be free?

jdk,

you were ripped off.. simple as that.. whenever a charge is made TO a CC, it MUST be refunded to that card..  It's actually in VISAs rules and regs.  They just bought time to stall by claiming they'd mail you a check, PLUS, it costs them the discount fee that's lost if they refund via check.

Contact your bank and while it may initally be a little embarassing, tell them what it was for without actually admitting what it was really for (i.e. it was for a massage or something) and say the service was never provided and you have been trying for months to get your $ back.. It'll be credited to your card.. If you choose to tell them more details, it's possible they'd lose their merchant account, which might be ok for a scam agency.

I process in excess of $1 mil a month on CC's and get under $200 a mo average in chargebacks, so running an honest business isn't hard to do!

good luck..

I would call them one last time and tell them you are no longer "waiting for a check."  As someone else below stated, its not allowed by ANY of the major CCs to give a person cash or check for a regular CC transaction....it bypasses the penalty and higher interest rate charged to cash advances.

Tell them that you want A)the money credited back to the card immediately (while you are on the phone) or B) that you want another appointment for the money that they owe you.  If you don't get what you want, than call the CC company and have them credit your account and attempt to get the charge reversed for failure to provide services.  Tell them it was for a massage, and who cares what someone working there thinks...they will never see you.

I can't remember the name of the girl that runs that outfit (her picture is all over the site...caramel skin, long hair) but her scamming ass has been around for a long time.  She is nothing but trouble, and I would have NOTHING to do with her, or any agency she is affiliated with.  This is like her 4th or 5th agency, and people need to avoid her and her girls like the plague.

ksig25,

I just read this post of yours and was wondering why would you say something like that? Is it from personal experience? I am a current girl of the agency working independent as well and frankly, I am very unhappy with you for slandering DCHOTGIRLS the way you did!!!!

Vanessa Dash is the person running the agency. I have used this agency a few times and was disappointed only once with the provider I chose.

All of the advice given is sound and leaves you with several choices. The suggestion to ask for another appointment was made. Not a bad one if you enjoyed the first 2 encounters. If not, let us know, Curious if you have posted a review? If you elect to go this path, let us know what Vanessa Dash's response is.

While the rules and regulations may state a merchant cannot directly refund a customer with cash, I have been refunded for charges in cash on returns made to a wholesale merchandise company. Now, I'm not telling which one this is as I would not want to lose this opportunity in the future. However, the merchant account in question here is with a (possibly less then reputable) company that is not likely following all laws and regulations anyway - so what stops them from sending you the check - being honorable, lazy, broke, no stamps, haven't found time to mail it, the list of excuses is endless...

It is not likely they will mail it anyway. And if they did, it would be heavily discounted if you cancelled last minute, and also for the fees they pay the CC for the merchant account.

If you opt out of the first few options and elect to contact your CC Company, you do not have to disclose specifics for what was to be provided, only services as suggested by the merchant account. Now, it is likely you have already received a statement and on that statement is specific information regarding the merchant account. This is useful information and can help you in other ways not to be disclosed on this forum.

Oh, one more thing - did you pay for all 3 at the same time? This is very important as it is difficult to manage a charge back if part of (66%) the services were rendered (or delivered) with satisfaction and the remainder is in question and subject to a greater level of detail in explaining to the CC company what it was you received - even if it was a massage. They would question the policy of the merchant for refunds, returns, or credit for future services, which in Vanessa Dash case (dishonorably) could be disputed or implied there would be no refund, in which case - you lose.

Last option  - you cut your loses as mentioned and learn not to use a CC for this type of entertainment. We all want to know what you decided, so please get back to us. In the mean time, I'm sure they understand the value TER and it's members provide. We can contact Vanessa Dash directly and ask for her to join into this discussion and  if there is another side which has not been disclosed by you, allow her to be honorable and defend herself and those who work for her.

Good Luck

Thank you all for your advice.  I have contacted Vanessa and she assured me that I would recieve the payment and if I wasn't satisfied I could set up another appointment with no additional charge.  I was willing to set up another appointment but with my schedule wasnt able to do it.  So I think I'll give it a couple of days and be ready to take more action if need be.  Needless to say I learned my lesson with using a CC and pre-booking with un-certain work schedule.  Thanks again, I appreciate all your input.

Not taking anything away from your encounter, however things do happen.
Instances like this spoil it for the rest of us who love what we do and take great care in providing good customer service. I would love to hear Vanessa’s account of what happened and would LOVE to know her side of the story….

One time I had a ripoff from a former DChot girl.  She took my money and gave me a 15 minutes quick sent off and so I complained to Venessa. Venessa honored a discount for my next appointment.

I used DCHotGirls a few time and the service had been honest.  Lately, I haven't used the agency because Venessa sent all the best girls to Tyson Corner instead of College Park which is inconvenient to me.

Why everytime I tried to look at your pictures on your website, they never show?

Hey I want to let everyone know that I have squared everything up with Vanessa and DCHotgirls.  She was very helpful and there was miscommunication (on my-part) and everything has been resolved.  Vanessa is really nice and I have never had a problem with her service, there was this situation but she worked with me and fixed it....I'll continue to use her service and hope ya'll will too.  Thanks for your help and insights.

This is Vanessa Dash, the owner and operator of DC Hot Girls and I would like to comment on this.  This gentleman is a client of mine and has been for a very long time.  He came to me and told me he wanted 3  2hr appts.  I told him if he paid for all 3 up front I would give him a discount and he did.  He received 2 of the 3 and due to his schedule was not able to do the 3nd as planned.  He asked for a refund which I had no problem with.  He came back into town and called for another 2 hr appt which I provided to him at that discounted rate and counted as the 3d appointment versus giving him a refund and recharging his card in the end saving him about $125.  Once I explained it to him he had no problem with it.

I have been in business for a very long time as one of the postings said, this is true and to have done this I have to be doing something right.  Ripping off clients is something I never have and never will do, it's not worth it to me in the long run.  There are some scam agengies out there true enough and everyone knows who they are even though they change their names and stuff, their true colors come out.  My colors haven't changed cause I don't practice that.  As far as you LisaRivera, you don't know me. . . remember that before you speak next time.  I run a very upfront agency.  Sometimes things happen that I can't control but that's with any business, not just adult entertainment.  I act or react accordingly.  Anytime a client has a problem that is on the fault of the entertainer, some type of compensation is given whether a discount, a free appointment, something, they don't just go undelt with here.  My repeat clientele volume reflects that.  I listen to what my clients have to say good or bad and always treat them well, always, no exceptions.  I'm not perfect and am not trying to come off as I am but I do run a good service and I do treat my clients well.  As far as you Ksig25, it sounds like something personal versus professional.  If avoiding me is what you prefer that's your right and you are entitled to your opinion but those are like assholes and everyone has one.

First and foremost, people have the tendency to jump the offensive when something is pointed out...My first admendment right allows me to speak freely and that is something I do and do it fairly...I know that the advice and discussion that is given here is helpful to hobbyist and to providers being either independent or agency....I read the boards just as many others do...I am fairly new to the area and it is helpful...I understand that you  can't make everyone happy but you should try your damnest to!!! I am a college-educated woman and I am continuing my education here in the area and one thing that business courses have taught me is that many in business get so wrap up in quantity instead of quality....One disguntle customer outweighs 10 satisfied ones...I think a lot came out of this discussion on both sides and a lot was learn....And by the way Vanessa, I make mistakes in the business as well, just like you and every other provider in the area..so , I am not perfect either
