Amen to that!!1
If you read the article notice the quote
"In addition, he thanked the more than thirty law enforcement agencies from Baltimore, Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Canada and many other locations, who contributed to this successful prosecution"
The board (and probably the moderator Any_mouse) requested
links to verify your chicken little stories.
So now you provide outdated links...
This article is over a month old and the prosecution older than
that.
LE is a constant threat, so I'm sure you can dig up any number
of articles about busts. The point is to dig up CURRENT and
TIMELY ones that indicate an INCREASED threat so as to help
people out. Not warmed over crud just to stir up trouble.

Besides which, the prosecution noted in the link seems to have been aimed at child pornography and teen prostitution rather than web-based escort agencies. Additionaly, I know someone who works at Georgetown Suites, one of the hotels mentioned in a previous post, and he told me that the last prostitution arrest he can remember there was in the summer of 2002.
My purpose is to point out to people that you won't see any links or news articles until there are INDICTMENTS. This is the pattern. ALso notice that the FEDS are getting involved. The DC police department is very corrupt and some officers got taken down in a LE sting earlier this year.
Look at the article in the link you see about the info about he dc police officer who got busted for prostitution.
The other articles about the DOJ getting involved indicates that they don't think DC police can handle clean up of prostitution properly.
When a police department gets involved in crime the FEDS take over invesigations. The FEDS are alot more careful with press releases. You only see them do press releases when they are ready to put ton nails in the coffin. People need to be very careful.
I have alot more thoughts but they won't be posted anymore unless I have links. People are not interested in rumors, just wants facts after things happen.
People need to be very careful who they deal with. That is all I am going to say now. Be safe and careful.

Gee, I read your link and the only mention of prostitution was that A DC Cop got arrested for solicitation. That's one officer out of all of them, and he got busted for asking for sex. He wasn't out to bust the lady he approached.
How about something RELEVANT and timely to your subject you keep warning about?
Contact the press to see what is going on ? Maybe they are doing an investigation now ? Like everyone says it is getting harder and harder to believe, especially with all the big numbers. Someone would have leaked something to the press by now.
The local providers have confirmed this with there postings.
It's the *arrests* that get the big media attention (just think of all the 'perp walks' you've seen on the evening news). Indictments go virtually unnoticed, unless the crime is a truly notorious one (e.g. the Laci Peterson case). And, unless there are minor children involved or some other extraordinary circumstance, prostitution cases are handled by state authorities, *not* the Feds.
The link you cited dealt with a case involving the sex trafficking of minor children, and is irrelevant to what gets discussed on these boards. None of the ladies I know would touch such a slimy business with a twenty foot pole.
Please, take your swill elsewhere. It's not wanted here.

Sorry sir, but I have to disagree with you on a few points.
1.The above referenced article from the DOJ was reported several times by the media. It was reported in December when the house was raided and another time once the indictments were handed down. That proves that you will see news articles before indictments.
2. You assert that the DOJ became involved because DC police are incompetent. Wrong! The FEDS and DOJ became involved in this particular case because the crimes involved crossing state lines. Girls were being brought from Baltimore to DC. Also, the age of the girls played a major part in the FEDs being involved. Anytime state lines are crossed to commit a crime the FEDs will automatically be involved.
3. Again in this particular case, police were tipped off by underage girls being arrested for prostitution. It was not a random bust. And it primarily came from their street activities, not from the internet.
4. As in every major city (as you will find in Chicago as an example or NC as a closer example), any type of major bust (especially of the magnitude you say) will be reported as soon as arrests are made. So far, I only know (as a fact) of two girls who were arrested.
I am a very well known provider in the area and I'm sorry, I just don't believe the hype. A few girls were arrested and it was completely blown out of proportion.
Some facts.
Thanks, Angeleyes.
Charliehorse, the police cannot hide arrests.

So, the only posts you've ever made on this board have been to either (1) scream chicken-little stories that cannot be verified anywhere else, or (2) post links to LE sites that contain generic (and stale) info about prostitution in general. Moreover, the links aren't the kind that show up in most searches unless they're waaaaay down the list... they're the kind that an LEO (or a wanna-be) would go digging for.
Frankly, I think that you are either LE, or you have some law-enforcement fantasy/hangups. Either way, your presence here is no longer required. Buh-bye.
Please, take your Chicken Little crud elsewhere. Your credibility on this board is zero.
Cheers!
Son, you have embarrassed yourself beyond belief. You have no facts, no names, no recent dates, and finally no credibility. I am beginning to believe that you are simply posting this BS just to get reactions. Did your mother not teach you the meaning of the word "prevarication"? Is it possible that you have fallen into some 'Clintonesque' area of what is really truthful? Methinks you are into the attention you are getting. So sad. So very sad. Take a good look in the mirror. Get a life.
