From what I read it wasn't just one you cancelled unless the other guys were just riding the train wreck...
I hate to hear how this has seriously affected you financially as I believe from what Mac said you have what it takes to be in this biz and make the guys happy.
It would have been better you left it alone. Many hear should sympathize when it comes to fear and safety - but explaining it in detail isn't helping.
What is going to help, make your appointments the best they ever had and ask them to be honest in reporting back in a review? Getting a couple more mini-reviews and complete reviews will bring out the facts and either promote or not.
I almost hate to suggest this - but consider a 10 or 20% TER reviewer discount limited to a day or two. Sorry, I won't be seeing you - and not because of the problems you've had with others...
I also suggest you find another provider to befriend - that might help you with how you manage your screening and schedules - using their experience to guide you...

thank you for your words of wisdom and just so the community knows because of capt jacks recent post i have had SEVERAL cancelations and i'm in the buisness because yes i need the money but also because i enjoy it my big fear was that if i let him any closer to me then he might stay around my thought on the wrong addy was that he wouldnt see me when i left the house depending on how long he may have choose to wait if i'd left him at the inital meeting point hedve seen me for sure and with my gut telling me one thing i got scared but because of his posts i've had no less then 10 cancelations this week so i'm sorry i wronged you capt jack but now what am i supposed to do since so may people want to cancel at the last second now because of your posts.....?

I for one do not beleive for a minute your reason for messing with the guy. It was so wrong what you did, that losing a few appointments is probably deserved.
With that said most likely this will pass if you stop bringing it back up. This to shall pass. For the future, if you do not want to see someone or you get a better offer and need to cancel do it more professionally, just lie about something and don't make the guy drive to some false location. I would be so pissed about that I would slam you on this and other boards for weeks.
You are not making a good impression on anybody here. First, your punctuation is horrific. Second, Please take some time reviewing what you write and try to use the spell check button.
Third, what you did by sending someone to the wrong address is wrong both ethically and not to mention morally.
If I were you I would take some time off of this board for a little while and let things calm down.

I told Rachael my sense was that the community and her reviews were on her side in this, and that she should just drop it for now. I suggested to her that she give captjack1812 a discount as an encouragement to come see her, because I believed that he would be more than satisfied if he did experience her. There's no better way to fix a bad rep than to switch your detractor into an advocate.
Slip has the right idea. A limited time discount would encourage community members on the fence to give her a chance.
These cancellations are obviously panicking her but, she just needs to know that this will blow over and business will come back. The forum threads will get pushed down into the past and the reviews will speak for themselves.
So Rachael, honey, please, I repeat, let it go already.

As for Capt - you should screen him properly - if all goes well, you should offer him a free session (yea, free) - you wasted his time, and his time is valuable too.
However, I also suggest forgetting about giving everyone else a discount for reviews or any other purpose... instead, give them a guarantee not to screw up, if your rates are over 200$ - maybe discount it to 200$ - otherwise, I think 200$ is a very reasonable amount for a lady ready to go the extra mile to get you to leave her with a big smile!
