More like an effort by the team to fix me as the so called Grand Marshall. Yes I've been giving it some thought even though I've protested about this to others. I would surely like to see this party for the celebration of Jeops arrival at 300 - that is he makes it.

My problems (as if anyone cares to hear them) are work related. I'm so stressed out from work, and see no opening in the near future, to get focused on the next Happy Hour.

Adding to that is planning problems -

I wouldn't plan it to be at the last location in Va- too much trouble for me to get in and out of. The location I prefer (in Md) might be too far away for most and doesn't have a metro stop within 5 miles. And the only place I was told about that could be rented is even further away. (nice bar in Md close to those in Balt - cost with bartender around $$$$$).

The invitation list is another problem. The current rules as most should know are meant to protect the group which are no one will be sent an invitation that can't be verified by references not limited to the being an active member with more then a couple of reviews. This is another reason I don't like this position - hate to disappoint people that want to get to know others in the community.

So, with work stressing me, and the thought of planning stressing me, I'll probably send a notice to those I’ve seen before (and probably the day before) that I’m going out on my own to drink myself into a stupor and they would be welcome to join me (not a pretty sight - but occasionally funny - at least that's what I'm told).

Anyway - I am not promising anything - but I'll see how I feel about it once work stress lifts.

I have set up an email address to take comments (and crap) along with request to be included on the invitations list. I would like to make it clear - the location, date and time will not be public and if it does become public I will notify everyone that it may not be a safe event to attend - and of course I won't show if it does become public.

One Last Thing - If anyone else cares to step in and take over - please do.... It may be the only way our community might get together again as I might be out of commission from a work related nervous breakdown, or more likely jailed for drunken disorderly or assault on a coworker.
