It seems that the number of visiting ladies has dropped a lot in the past couple of years. (Or am I just imagining?). There are a lot of listings on Eros for visitors, but it seems like many are dubious ones, those from locals who reappear, duplicates or expired ones. I have't done a study.
Couple things I do know: Some agencies have dropped DC from their tour list (Taylor's elite said they got too many n0-shows). Others seem to very sporadic now like BDJ, Sweeties. The only agency consistently present here (thank you) is Miami Companions.
I seem ot recall a few years ago when we used to have 2 or 3 DBJ girls at a time, regular visits from Sweeties and SFE and then have some hot new find from the likes of Billionaires and Sex Appeal Models (now defunct).
If this is the case that visits are down, I wonder if it is something about DC. Is it fewer girls around (supply) or not enough customers (demand)?

we are the problem here. we have driven lots of them away. no-shows, and harsh treatment of non-gfe's. our community is very active and when we don't get what we want we rant and rave on the internet about it. the bar has been set very high here. some just don't want to keep trying to jump over it.
I think sweeties skips us because most of their girls are non-gfe and we bash them for it. BDJ get smacked around here also. we are not very forgiving. I think other towns will take cute girls that provide FS and be happy even without full gfe.
I personally miss all the young hot non-gfe's that used to come here (I just want to do hot young chicks). These girls get bashed on the boards, then they get no-shows and cancellations, no one books them and then the trip is not economically viable. then they just quit coming here.
DC demands GFE. Example of what agencies do when their girls get slammed for non-GFE. Sweeties reivents Alyssa into Ginger to hide her reviews and hopefully get a new round of customers for her. BDJ is doing same with Cara as now Isabella Rose. Even MC did it with Laura Monroe recently (in this case not sure why b/c she was GFE, probably b/c she is old(er) and try for new customers by advertiing her as 26). Have seen this many times.
Sex Appeal Models was an anomoly by the way. Their goal was to get only young cute girls. they were small and recruited from Miami and pretty much sent the girls here first. If they had a girl that didn't want to tour a lot then they sent her here only. They also TRAINED the girls on what was expected in a session. The other agencies take who they can get but am sure they woulld LIKE to have only young cute GFE's.
SFE's girls were not hot enough and not GFE enough for DC - they got killed on the boards. Also that is an agency that is a little bit tougher on the girls so they do not recruit the best anyway (boss has to test the product). The better girls go elsewhere.

With a smaller agency, you can have a greater level of quality control over your "product."
I think the problem a lot of people had was the fact that they were getting charged the same, whether or not the lady in question was GFE. If you can have one hottie who is GFE @ $$$/hour, versus another hottie who is FS only @ $$$/hour, it's obvious who's going to make more.
We are demanding. This is true. But we are honest about it.
I think Driver9 makes a very good point about "young hot non-GFEs" being driven away by a demand for a level of service that they aren't comfortable with, and poor reviews / less clients if they won't provide those services. I would go further and suggest that there are fewer "young hot non-GFE" escorts touring nationally than there were a few years ago, because so many clients now expect GFE.
Last point, maybe irrelevant, but if it were up to me I would invent another name for GFE, like EBF (not going to explain that one, sorry).
It is the time of the year. There were alot of visitors before 11/2005. Then things dropped off. Some of the visiting providers have to resort to CL to generate interest. Now there is a boycott by the cheap dogs on CL, lol.
I LOVE DC and for the first time, I did not have any no-shows this visit. In addition, I only had 2 cancellations which were made over 48 hours in advance with very good reasons. Such courtesy and class is refreshing!
I will continue to visit my friends in DC about every 2 months or so!

getting cynical. After eliminating all the bait and switch, ts/tv, and rip off ads it seems like the volume of visitors has dropped off.
The drop off is easier to see in Baltimore, because of lower volume of ads. Recently the number of quality ladies visiting can be counted in the low single digits. There is no one to blame but ourselves. I am gussing it is a combo of no shows, cancellations and not enough scheduled appointments. We are fortunate to have several quality agencies located between Baltimore and DC. Since I prefer to try to develop some type of connection I have a tendency to prefer these agencies. That said, variety is the spice of life.
I know it is a pipe dream, but if guys would start reading reviews and only visiting the quality providers, whether local or visiting, instead of all the rip off options there would be plenty of business for all of them. I can not understand all the posts recently about ads on Craigs List. I just don't think there are that many models or 18 year old gorgeous college coeds available at low prices (that have no reviews), but yet guys seem to think they can be found advertising there.

Being a frequent flyer.... er visitor myself that hobbies hard in DC, I have talked with a number of ladies both there and at at home who pretty much give the same story. They are tired of the now show - no call atmosphere in DC.
That is not to flame the fine gents responding herein, but obviously there has to be a problem in that arena. Being critical is just smoke and mirrors. That kind of talk is in all markets.
Having contributed from outside, I can't wait for my next run to DC. LOL You know I will be trying my best to hobby hard. (no pun)
Agency-wise, I know South Florida Escorts and Flawless Escorts used to tour in both of our cities. I'm not sure if either or both are still around now. If they are, they're not touring here anymore. My recollection is that their girls weren't among the best (by and large). As others have said, this area is well known for how it treats mediocrity (or worse). Except for a few gals, those agencies might be doing us a favor by no longer coming here.
As for the Indies mentioned, I am certainly aware of one: Angie Renee. That is a huge loss for us (all because of one or two stupid no-show jerks). I also happen to notice that Netmichelle hasn't been here for quite some time. Fortunately we DO have several "rock solid" repeats: Jasmine of Wichita, Sedona Weaver, Florida's Missy, Miki, Sexy Carolina, and Sarah of Texas (just to mention a few).

Jasmine of Wichita, one of my ATFs, has only been here once, and cancelled her last trip because of cancellations. She's scheduled to come back next week -- I'm already booked. Let's not lose her too. I didn't know about AngieRenee. I saw her two trips ago, had a wonderful time, told her I was going to be out of the country during her last trip, and she said we'd get together next time. She said she's not coming back? What a shame.
That's a shame. I'd wanted to meet her one of these days.
I received a pm from another hobbyist. It stated that Angie has been taking some time off from the business. She made some mention of being tired of Boston and wanting to travel some. He indicated that she did not ask if she was wanted back, but would be amenable to "entertaining" another return trip if she was asked. Needless to say, it looks like it would behoove us all to ASK. Don't know if she reads this board regularly, so we would probably have to ask her by email or pm.
My first tour was a disapointment...lots of no-shows and cancellations.. and one guy fainted on me!!! Well not on me..but we never had a chance to play..But I KNEW there were tons of hot men in Dc..So I came back!!! This is my 5th visit I think..and I am Satisfied..I can get my satisfaction!! I love it here!!

DC is a great place to tour! We like to come here a whole lot, though this snow and -342343 degree weather may slowly be killing us... one of us is from the south (New Orleans) and the other from NJ (totally used to it), but we both live together in the lovely predictably unchanging climate of San Francisco and it's quite the shock to be here in the winter! Still love it, though
