They are trying keep us from knowing what is going on.  Of course it is after the fact sometimes weeks after the fact.

My lawyer told me that if someone gets arrested they can ask for the record to not searched because of impact on the job.

Of course for those who have the US government special privilege jobs that won't matter. As soon as you get arrested your prints are taken and searched through the FBI database. You security officer at work will get a noticed that your credentials get flagged. You will have lot of explaining to do to your security officer why you were arrested.

One guy that I know did not that high level in credentials. The security office let is pass. He kept his job and stuff removed after they found out LE did not have a case.

Many of the records are no longer search able. If you know names for the court records site in Maryland you get messages "no electronic record can be displayed".

I talked to my lawyer and he noticed the same thing also.

Bottom line the record counts have gone up a lot in those hot counties.

Continue to be careful who you see and take nothing for granted.

I know one provider who is retiring because she got busted 2 times in 1 month (March 2011). She let down her screening standards and fell into the LE trap. Don't let it happen to you. Use common sense and gut feel in addition to screening.

Guys be careful about seeing unreviewed providers or providers from reviewers that are unknown and can't be trusted.

It is spring time and the weather is getting hotter. Keep your guard up and be very vigilant about who you see and where you see time.

Good for newbies and experienced folks too.

Is that not a public record?

Why are they not making them visible to all interested parties?

Im no lawyer, but I thought the new open/public record laws allowed all this to be visible to the public?

Wrong.  FBI has no way of letting your security officer of FSO know you were arrested. Your creds dont get flagged. There is no tie in or info sharing between the FBI arrest record database and DOD and their security clearance database. Only time it is checked is when a new investigation is run
on you and they check FBI HQ, FBI Name and FBI Tech ie finger prints. If you occupy a sensitive position or hold security clearance you are required to inform your agency anytime you are arrested or cited except for non misdemeanor traffic violations. Reckless Driving and Aggressive Driving are class 1 misd and you have to let them know. Contractors with security clearances are required to report the same thing. And no the security office can not let any arrests just pass boy. They are required and to pass on that info and your clearance eligibility must be readkjudicated.

So before your run your pie hole please have a clue to what you are talking about. If you don't shut up.

That is what my security officer told us in a meeting recently. The security officer reminded us to be careful in our fun activities.

IT is true and in fact I know a guy that it happened to.

When you get a clearance your finger prints get sent to the FBI.

When you get arrested they are searched and you will get a flag on your clearance if you are arrested.

Some must have changed from a few years ago. The systems are more connected, that is what my security officer told me.

As a person who holds such a position it is perfectly clear to me that you have no idea what you are talking about!

hobbyNews1159 reads

Why are they asking people if they have paid for sex during polygraphs interviews ?

Some get lucky without the question being asked.

Talk to your security officer if you don't believe me. But then again you might want to be careful because it might raise suspicion why you are asking such question in the first place.

30 years no such question asked again you are clueless. By the way they are not called security officers! That tells me allot about you!

That is what they are called at my place.

IF we leave the US we have to visit them also and tell the purpose and where we going out of US.

It is true but what bearing does it have on the current discussion. Are you just throwing out factoids to try to make yourself look informed?

hobbyNews1064 reads

I have worked at DOD and NSA contractors and it is a requirement.

Also if you return from the US from certain countries some of the border agents will ask you specifically why you were in a certain country. One my buddies was asked point blank was he there to see prostitutes, lol.

Yes it is a requirement. I acknowledged that. What I questioned was why you brought it up when it had nothing to do with the discussion.    By making the response you did you showed that you did not read my post and proved what I suspected----that you are just trying to feel important by posting factoids.

I know another guy who had very high level clearance. He got in trouble with hobby. The agency found out and told him to go home immediately and tell his wife. He refused and he lost his clearance can never do cleared work again even at the lower level.

Was the "agency" worried she'll find out some other way, get mad, and break his cover/talk about his job to the world, thereby committing a federal crime?  Yeah, cause thats what all agencies want, their business splashed across the front page by an angry wife...

Though, I'm hoping you had your fun with this little tirade.

Bull the FBI's database does not know you have a clearance. You are full of it.  No nothing has changed the systems are not connected. Stop passing bogus info and lying little boy.  BTW after the third try the investigation for clearance is run w/o fingerprints if the fingerprints are bad.  Some folks dont have legible fingerprints.  Stop running your pie hole about stuff you have no clue about.

If you get arrested anywhere in the US the local systems are connected to the national system that the FBI runs.

If you have a clearance your record will get flagged as I stated. Your security officer will know and you will have some explaining to do.

When one gets special badges sometimes an additional check will be done thru the system to make sure you not committed any new crimes since the clearance was granted.

The FBI also maintains the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System used to identify finger prints.

Anyone who has every got a clearance has had to go to the local police department and get them submitted on the clearance application. Those finger prints are stored in the FBI systems.

Bull the systems are not connected.  There is no flagging of your record or any record.Your badge is not connected either in DOD, DHS or even the FBI.  NCIC and the various DOD clearance databases are not connected now and never have been.  There are no checks of NCIC when you are issued a badge in DOD or when badge is renewed. DOD has enough problems with its badges not working. And do not confuse confuse agency badges with CAC cards.

NCIC is incomplete and if you have a common name a complete cluster f*ck.

You the clearance holder are responsible for disclosing the arrest to your activity or contracting firm. Failure to do is more serious then the arrest punk. Read the adjudication guidelines.  Never listen to jailhouse lawyers they dont have a clue.

BTW all this info is available to the general public and is not classified or FOUO

Again do not run your pie hole about things you know nothing about.  DOD and the alphabet soup agencies have no automatic tie in with NCIC.  It is interesting that an instant check is done on you when you purchase a hand gun but not when you apply for a clearance.  Now go play a video game and leave intelligent conversation to the adults in the room.

If you put someone's name (or people associated with the arrest) in there that was recently busted chances are the record will show up "electronic record can't be displayed". If the arrest was last year it might show up.

This is happening in certain high profile counties that make a big deal about hobby busts.

I agree with some of what HoobbyNews says although he has some terms wrong. The lie detector part is true if your getting a Lifestyle Poly, or if one of your neighbors, friends, co-workers has mentioned during an update that you visit Hookers or strip clubs. Jealous, mean and spiteful people say the darnedest things to background investigators.

Break. Several high profile TER reviewers and a couple moderators got caught last year in BackPage Vice Scams. There a couple websites that spell it out, with names, one being the MoCo Vice depts webpage. Makes me sick to see clueless people on this board congratulating one Egomaniac, that got busted and rolled over on a bunch of ladies and guys. As hobbynews says, be extra careful, cause  not only will LE be getting paid to find and arrest you, but people who have your info or have emailed you, befriended you in the hobby will roll over on you too, especially in a plea deal. Nuff Said. Over and out. Chocks in, power down.

Really......

Break

Really....LOL   Put down the mic and have some fun.
