If you haven't noticed, there are plenty of providers who advertise here on TER who charge >$300.  All hobbyists, except single men who don't care about adverse consequences of getting caught with a prostitute, have reason to want discretion.

That depends upon your definition of "power" ... If you are talking about a random horny congressman or rich businessman, than they use mostly indys.  The truly powerful though (the people you never really hear about) have access to a network that will never appear on TER.  Sorry...but that's life.  Get your networth up to 5+million and they will find you.

The only real advantage of an agency is you can usually find a slightly better price, but if that is all that concerns you, your in the wrong place anyway!!!  Indys are the way to go.  An established, well reviewed independent is what you want, stay clear of agencies as they generally use newbies, not established girls and there is too much risk with the data they require...remember the words of Bill Clinton, "I never had sexual relations with an agency girl".

Well, unless they have substantial evidence or they can wiretap you and stuff, they cannot do much. Look at all these other high-profile people that went unpunished. Elliot Spitzer was ACTUALLY INVESTIGATED for possible bribery and embezzlement, which led to the FED wiretapping his communications. They just happen to discover a prostitution ring that he was patronizing and spending money. They actually recorded his actions; therefore, he was convicted without a doubt.

I would never consider swimming in a pool  on a 45 degree day such as  this and walks off. The swimmer shrugs and says to himself, I wouldn't either unless it was a heated pool such as this.

Let me clue you in on a hidden reality of this pool. Many of these so called elite don't choose an agency because of it's price. They go with their 'comfort zone'. You have no idea how many clients worth millions, love to slum it. Either because it's where they came from ( you can take the boy out of the trailer park, but sometimes you never get all the trailer park out of the boy) and subconsciously it is were they are most comfortable or they want to feel superior to someone.

Then there is the next problem which most long term agency owners at a certain target audience either know or find out the hard way. Millionaire clients are a pain in the ass and catering to Capital Hill is more trouble and fraught with perils which will cause you to go bald.

As for the insider, referral only, private clubs provider class, they are a small circle. Just because you have a respectable net-worth or get elected congressman/woman doesn't mean they will automatically invite you in. These are the people who regard the President as a "temporary occupant of the White House" unlike their power circles which has out lived countless changes of the guard.

Funny thing about paradigms, they are only as good as the information you have. Change your experience and position of observation and sometimes, you change the world as you see it.

Oh and for you absolute thinkers.... no I was not speaking in a complete absolutes.

Spitzer case was never about the escort agency, that was just a by product of their investigation of him. Then when there wasn't miss use of public funds, they had to serve up something to justify the billable man hours.


" Specifically, the official narrative suggests that a Long Island bank noticed an odd pattern of payments made by Spitzer between different accounts. The payments were not enormous sums and the bank is said to have been concerned that a large number of transfers were made so as to fall below the $10,000 reporting threshold. The Los Angeles Times reports that Spitzer asked that his name be taken off the money wires, which reportedly aroused suspicion. The bank submitted a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to the IRS. The payments which totaled up to $80,000, looked suspicious, we are told, and were examined on the basis that they might be an effort to money-launder bribes. This was reported to the IRS in Hauppauge, Long Island, which in turn involved the Public Integrity Section in the Department of Justice."
