It's still popular. I've seen many ladies in Tyson's, based there and visiting.

Yes, I prefer Tysons over downtown DC.  Parking is much easier at Tysons and (to me) more options for hotels and discrete visits.  Just this week I passed on someone who was visiting DC who was staying in DC.  Unless a lady is a top 5 for me, I won't visit into DC.  Too many variables (for me).

over DC or anywhere else in the DMV any day.

If it seems slow, it may be a because of the holiday season, COVID, or…the fact that your last review was in 2016. Or a combination of those factors.

Agreed with Holystone...
Tyson's is probably the best in the DMV.  Maryland/MoCo sucks because of the aggressive enforcement.  Baltimore only offers you the airport area which is a hike.  DC just is the worst...too expensive for everything BEFORE you even get a "date".  (10% added meal tax, shitty parking which makes it a hassle for all involved)

Tyson's gives you loads of place to go out, nice hotels, nice apartments/venues.  Almost always free parking and convenience.  Cops basically spend their time/energies elsewhere.

Lots of mongers with $$$ willing to spend in Tyson's

I would agree, Tysons is way more convenient than inside the district. Like some others have stated, it would have to be something extra special bucket list sort of thing for me to travel into the city.

I live in the city and would rather travel to Tyson's than pay $40 to park.

And most of the time the Metro is just not convenient to use for a visit to many nicer hotels.

All good points, but I skip out on Tysons until after the holidays. Too many shoppers clogging the roads in that area. A fellow monger ran into LE about ten years ago in Tysons. The hotel staff suspected the provider and LE knocked on their door as he was undressing. They let him go, but she was detained. He saw their cars at the front of the hotel and foolishly kept walking into the building. I would have hightailed it out of there.

Never drop your guard. Even at Tysons.

But that seems to be where the girls are.
Back in the day we used to have lots of visitors in downtown DC and Georgetown. But with Covid we have fewer people going to the offices in DC and on the Metro. So if you're driving and parking Tysons makes more sense. I wish there were more visitors to Crystal City which at least is a neighborhood or sorts.
Tysons is the worst of American car culture.. even with the Metro there which is not especially convenient to anything.

I've been to Crystal City a few times for dates. Parking isn't great though, although both times I found decent street parking.

Work there and seen plenty of ladies there.  Always convenient … except during rush hour and around last minute shoppers.  But that’s the way it goes in every city.  I’d recommend it without hesitation.  Imagine it’s cheaper hotels and lots of clientele

Tysons has close/good access to the beltway…can get in and out. Lack of close beltway access in general for anything makes me feel trapped

Good post. Between 2006 and 2014 (if my memory serves me correctly) when the HOV/HOT lanes were being worked on (and when I was working out west on 66), I hated going to Tysons.

Now it’s easy to get to, and there’s plenty of ways in and  out.

Interesting that you should say that because I have read that the hotels in Tysons do not want the providers using them and periodically cooperate with LE in sting operations.

I just did my first tour in Tysons as a provider and it was great! I'm going back in February. I've also noticed a lot of other girl who advertise that they visit Tysons so it must be a good place still.

there are a lot of clients out in Tysons. And based on previous requests, it really can be the variable that makes or breaks a potential engagement. Personally, I have no experience with Tysons apart from shopping there almost a decade ago during a lull between college/university visits.

I have always wanted to take a day to go to Tysons but DC has always been so sweet on me so it's just never happened.

And surrounding areas. Many come from DC and Maryland (especially since Montgomery County is so "unfriendly" to providers).

As I stated above, I'm in DC and I'd rather drive to Tyson's where parking is not an issue. For me it's only about 30-40 minutes away and to me, at least, that's nothing.

The issue with DC, even before COVID, was parking.  Depending on the hotel you may have to pay for parking underground...and that's on a credit card.  Boom - paper trail.  Also, if you park on the street it's only two hours so you might get a ticket if you have a two hour meeting.

At Tysons there are plenty of hotels and parking lots are busy and free.  Less issue hiding your car or worrying about paying.  I strongly prefer Tysons over DC and I work in DC.  Last few months I've visited Tysons area 3-4 times from DC.

I was at a hotel a few weeks ago (Marriott I think) and the gates on their outdoor lot were down and I had to take a ticket and pay to get out.

I know a number of Tyson's hotels have similar setups but the gates have been inoperative for as long as I've been down here. I wonder if that will start to change now.

Can confirm that the Tyson’s Marriott’s gates are down.

The Westin (as of early December) still had  their gates up and aren’t charging for parking.

Not sure about Embassy Suites. I always park at the retail lot next door and walk over.

If I recall correctly, the first hour is free then it's 10 bucks for up to 3 (?).

Even with an hour appointment there's no way to avoid being charged other than to park off-property.

Can you share the hotel?  I find this interesting as I've likely visited most of the hotels in the Tysons area.  Most being high rise hotels with no issue walking to the elevator from the parking lot.

This thread has NOTHING to do with the thread that you started that elicited the “nasty comments”. I don’t condone the nasty comments that were made in regards to you, but in return there’s no need for YOU to make nasty comments in return by denigrating some touring providers as “third world”, or making a snide comment about another provider’s rates.

Yeah, I know you dislike "third world" people.

I've seen some so-called "third world" ladies and they've been top-notch.

The people running these “third world agencies” will very doubtfully notice if you are here or not just as anyone like myself won’t especially since I don’t shop where you probably advertise. If you want fewer negative responses, maybe complain less so you draw less negative attention, post less drivel trying to discourage other providers from coming here since you barely know this area, and be more honest with yourself in regards to why so many “first world” providers make this their main stop in the DMV. If CT is so great since you constantly mention it, why aren’t you posting on the NE board as much as the DC board?

She has made sure to mention “third world” people a few times and also made sure to state that she’s white. Might be some other underlying issues that should be kept to herself as, I imagine, many of us may be from or have family from such third world countries. I myself was born in DC but then moved and grew up in a third world country. Some people, such as the OP, talk about the presence of prejudices (eg. age) and yet obviously harbor their own.
