Perfect day for a run!

I ran on rock creek trail today! It's beautiful! How lucky those of you are that live in this city and can run past the monuments every day!

Too many options to choose from! Living downtown ....

.......I have the option of running the Lincoln Memorial (including steps), the Mall (which is kind to your knees), the Memorial Bridge, over to Arlington Cemetary, and of course the Capitol (including the hill on Independence).  There is nothing like watching the sun rise above the Capitol building.

   I am happy that you were able to get out an enjoy the district!  I know when I travel, I love to get out and explore.

I just moved to Alexandria Va myself..

And I am really into running so I plan on running around DC. I live 15 mins away. Love the idea of running by and around the monuments.

Try the Mount Vernon Trail

Just do it when there's light outside.  It's great, with scenery, water stops, and bathrooms.
