Saw a news story about some LE bust of "high end brothels" in Boston and eastern VA (posted to the GD board) but wanted to see if some new faces were showing up at an agency. Both SA and LLV just produce a response suggesting the domains no longer exist.

They are referring to BL in 2020.  I saw someone just a few weeks prior to the bust.  I know the name.  Careful out there.

I must say (but still reading) this passage has stood out to me:

"I believe these operations include, but are not limited to, checking in on the brothels and women staying in and working at them, arranging for transport for the women to and from brothels and airports, assisting the women with luggage upon arrival, providing groceries to the women, collecting prostitution proceeds, and depositing those proceeds in bank accounts or exchanging them for money orders."

 
Sure sounds like the typical description of the human trafficking exploitation model. You normally don't hear much about the traffickers helping with luggage or stocking the location with food. Though I suppose anyone who has no experience and cannot imagine anyone engaging is sex work as voluntarily as someone working in some other job might read that with a somewhat different lens.

The interviews seem suspect to me. Who goes to a hooker, leaves and then just tells a cop everything about what they did and how they found the opportunity? No mention of them being apprehended or charged with anything. Were they working undercover?

 
Perhaps more disturbing for people here was the repeated mention of TER.

I’ve posted on this board before warning folks of all the Asian providers and reviews popping up.  I don’t know how 80% of reviews are Asian providers without more people worrying about human trafficking and LE taking notice besides me.  It’s  simple math guys, actuaries and forensic accountants have been finding fraud for years using super old techniques like Benford Analysis to catch thieves. The whole world of hobbling doesn’t go Asian overnight without something behind it.

I also found it weird, but I've read enough of these documents to know if they had undercover work done they'd put it there, as it looks a lot better evidence and rep wise. In other words there is no reason for the agent to lie or withhold info on this affidavit.

 
As far as people voluntarily telling the cops, a lot of people not just mongers tend to do that in high pressure situations when cops start grilling them. A lot of them have their life flashing in front of their eyes and they think of their ruined careers or a divorce. This of course doesn't mean they aren't idiots if they talked without being arrested or detained.  

 

 
I think main points I've got from skimming the thing, cliffnotes:

1. There was an informant on the inside, there was a tip off. Maybe not an inside job but someone clearly inside the korg network or related to them. Affidavit refers to the person as CS and this person is a woman.  

2. As discussed above, they had to use customers and not go undercover. This likely shows that exclusivity and security of orgs was working. They even had a guy schedule an Appt then cancel last minute.  

 
3. The people working the case have less general info on operation of korgs than I'd thought. Then again they have to write it in language that is accessible and understandably by the judge and/or prosecutors. I literally laughed when they had to explain what bb was and who they had to ask to give this answer.  

 
4. A lot of missed safety protocols such as the girl going into an apartment and failing to throw off the detectives following her. Generally it's always better to overdo caution than be sorry. Personally I always look for trailing people cars and am very careful.  

 
5. Laundering was unsophisticated and doing leasing under own names and aliases and real bank accounts was sloppy.

On to your post. The sheer stupidity and complete lack of understanding of the K Girl scene is amazing.  I do find it amusing how you throw big words and concepts, that have nothing to do with what's going on, into the mix.

Ok, depending on the day it can be up to 80%. Taking a quick look at the reviews that come up under Washington DC just now and I see 9 out of 16 reviews are for Asian providers. This isn’t Manila man, ain’t know way in a non-Asian countries that many providers are Asian without something being up. You don’t see that in New York, Montreal, or Miami which are the more prolific hobbyist cities besides DC and Philly on the east coast. Something has been up for years and people are going to get so burned now for it because you turned a blind eye to it.

Well at least you're toning it down from your 10 to 1 claim from 4 years ago. But it was laughable that you shifted from Asian to K-agencies, in that post, and then claimed the girls were trafficked or forced into a work or starve situation. I smell an agenda on your part.

What seems interesting is that I don't see anywhere in the document where anyone is actually caught committing the crime. Ultimately the case is basically circumstantial unless they are planning on having their interviewed buyers testify for them.  

 
The circumstantial evidence may well be enough for a jury but does emphasis the know your rights and STFU aspect of some comments and general approach to interacting with police in general.  

 
I also still find the whole claim of interviews a bit odd. From what I can tell nothing is reported that could not be learned just from reading the forums here. If there were strong cases of guys breaking down and confessing, why did it take almost a year to act (at least one of the interviews is reported to have occurred in January 2023)? I'd really like to know if the use of interview requires that the police actually did a face-to-face, in person interview or not. That's certainly implied but not actually stated. I would also think that not everyone that was confronted would immediately crack and confess rather than remaining silent and getting an attorney involved -- and who then might not have posted some clear warnings -- or have been charged then requiring the brothel to be busted as well at the time to be able to make the case against the John. Of course that is pure musing and probably doesn't really matter from a practical point of view for pretty much anyone reading.
