There have been some negative comments about agencies lately (overbooking, mixups, and so on) but well established agencies with good reputations serve an important purpose and provide certain advantages for hobbyists. I won't mention the names but the established ones can be easily found by researching reviews. I visit both indys and agency girls but use both equally.
1. You're screened once and after that you have access to a large number of girls (with new ones every week or so) without further screening. Just call with the name of the girl and the date and time and you're good to go.
2. Large selection of girls so that the time and date you want is more likely. Choice number one may be busy but choice number two and three aren't too bad either.
3. Prompt responses to your calls, text and emails. You have a person whose job is to arrange appointments. Indys try to do both but during certain times in the day, they're "busy". I usually find my calls or emails returned within 5-15 minutes.
4. Great for last minute appointments. In the past, I've had providers where I have an appointment and on the day of the appointment, my calls and emails aren't returned, sometimes I'm already at the location after a confirmation on that day and for some reason, the calls aren't answered. I'm all ready for some action so I call one of the agencies that I've used before and arrange Plan B with one of their well reviewed girls within 2 hours in the same general location and everything is fine.
5. Good agencies stand behind their girls and if you're unhappy with the experience and your complaints are reasonable, they will try to work out something to make it up for you, often a discounted future appointment. One agency provided me with a completely free session with another girl after I was very disappointed with an agency girl.
There are some understandable philosophical reasons for preferring indys but there are practical reasons for a hobbyist to have an agency or two on his rolodex or contact list for those last minute urges that come up from time to time.
Agencies aren't all bad - for gentleman and ladies alike.
Like anything in the world it has it's perks and faults. I think some feel that the greater risk of being pursued or caught by LE is enough to give up some of the perks you mention above.
I think a lot of guys use agencies and independents. Depends on their needs, desires and possible time/scheduling restrictions.
In the end guys want to be happy and we ladies want to make you happy. Only the individual has to decide what and/or who is best for him.

I tend to go to Indies vs agency ladies (about 95-5% split) is that the agency ladies tend to be relatively young, and I'm an old guy. I think (as has been discussed here many times) that many young ladies startng out in the business tend to go to agencies for all the support services they offer (scheduling, screening, probably travel arrangements, etc.) and eventually strike out on their own once they know the ropes. But one of my personal screening rules is a minimum age of 25 and most of them don't make the cut. Of the 4 times I've let my little brain take charge & make me skirt that rule, only in one instance did I find a provider that I reallly hit it off with. But I agree that agencies & their ladies are part of the landscape and a hobbiest would be silly to disregard them altogether.

to have several very good agencies. Most cities do not; Atlanta is another city that offers good choices. I think nationally this is not the rule, but being where we are is a blessing.
I have done so, but feel uncomfortable doing so. Always worried about LE "takedown" of an agency and that info on their database (along with my real name). I always wondered about the laptops being confiscated by LE- of course, I never went to that agency- just had thoughts about it (right?)
I have not have that issue with independent providers (work info and real name).
I feel like regardless if you're an independent or an agency, if you're storing sensitive data, you should be putting in on an offshore server with decent firewalls. Simply put, you don't want just anyone getting into so why risk a local hard drive? I feel like that's just one of the necessary expenses that comes with this business.
Servers that meet that qualifications are not /that/ hard to come by but, then again, I'm more technically inclined so perhaps that's just me.

LOL Sounds like you know just enough about PC security to be proficiently naive.
If you are accessing the foreign server from your lap top, the personal info you think you are hiding,can easily be extracted from your lap top.

Agency = Pimp. Don't kid yourself otherwise. Behind every agency is a pimp. Why would a girl give up 40% of her very hard earned money? Those nice young women making the appointments are fronting for someone. Every. Time.
Which do you think is more likely to get busted--an agency doing hundreds of transactions in a month or a random independent doing maybe 2 or 3 a day? Do you think the agency won't trade your identifying information if it might help in court?
Do you own your own business? Chances are you work for some one else...WHY? Why would you work for some one else and make money for their business? Why dont you run your own business? You would make more money if you had your own business!
This is no different, not every one wants the extra work of running their own business. Independent girls dont just show up and work. When they arent spending time with a gentleman they are answering emails, calls and chatting with guys. In addition to placing ads and coming up with new advertising...its competative out here! Its a lot of extra work
Your making wild assumptions. Ive worked for an agency, Ive worked indy and now I have an agency so Ive experienced every angle. Not all agencies are doing hundreds of transactions a month Lol, nor is every indy only seeing 2 or 3 clients a day.

A lot of girls are going to school or have another job so they dont have time to answer emails, phone calls, screen properly and book their own rooms. Just like people who work a regular job for a company, they want to show up, work and then go home to their person life with out this interfering. Working for an agency *can be very nice and convenient for a lady who doesnt do this full time.
There are pros and cons of using agencies and Independents and what it all boils down to is both have the same chances of getting in trouble if they dont screen properly.
Its a matter of personal preference, not rocket science
Looking at arrest records the charges are same for pimps and agencies. I see these charges:

Local LE has federal funding to crack down on the hobby for Human Trafficking.
If you look at articles in the press you will see the FBI is advising local LE on what to do.
I keep a lawyer on retainer and Im well aware of the consequences of doing things improperly. Notice I work with a very small group of local ladies, there's a reason I dont work with traveling ladies from all over the U.S. : )
Like you hobby News I keep an eye on the latest public records and Im as careful as possible. I keep good company so thats always a great start

If the agency owner is receiving freebies from his non employees, he is a pimp, with rapist tendencies, no matter how good looking he "thinks" he is.
Lady run agencies do not qualify for pimp status.
I disagree with the comment that the well established agencies are similar to pimps. That may be true of some of the BP ads but not for the big agencies. The agencies perform a service to the providers as the comment from PureGirlFriends indicated -- they screen, return calls and emails and set up appointments for the girls and have to deal with the bogus calls and emails. Not all providers want to do these administrative tasks because it is time consuming and a big hassle and some girls only want to work a few days out of the week or month.
As for employment info, you don't have to provide it as you can provide references and that is good enough for a number of agencies.
Now in regard to LE concerns, having your name on the agency database can be embarrassing but that by itself is not sufficient for an arrest. Now if you're famous (Tiger Woods) or in an important position (CEO of big company or politician), you can truly be embarrassed by the media over the relevation but the vast majority of hobbyist are just normal Joes that no one cares about.
One post said good luck collecting on the free session. Let me clarify. In 6 years, I have only complained once to an agency and only because it was below a "7" performance and there were some personal issues between the provider and me. I did not request any discount, I was just expressing my disappointment and the free session was offered to me and I accepted and had a good time with another provider with the agency. The agency is no longer in business so I'll reveal that it was TGND.
I am not suggesting that hobbyist should use agencies. In fact, I prefer indys over agencies. But there are some advantages to using agencies at times and a hobbyist should consider agencies as an option when warranted.
I've only seen a couple girls and one told me never to use an agency. Why would you pay the agency , and the girl when you can just use an indy girl and not have to worry about being upsold. You know the agency girl is not getting everything the indy one is. Common sense.
