I usually send an email rather than use online forms.  Once I provide name, DOB, and some employment info, plus DC, P411, and TER info, I've never been asked and never have provided references.  I guess I'm not as paranoid as the rest.

I will often send info to get screened before even requesting an appointment, because I usually schedule a week or so in advance, so there's really no rush.

I wonder how many hobbyists are comfortable filling in their true personal info-real name, employer and dob- in those "contact " forms to see providers.

Are they safe since its going on a web-server?

Whenever i am asked to fill those forms, i usually end up not seeing the provider.

Do other fellows feels the same? Is there some way to circumvent it?
comments??

Aside from being exrtemely impersonal, (Yes, I know it's a business) most of the sites that those forms are on, are not owned by the lady, but by the host. Once you put that information on the form, it's there forever...never, ever gets deleted. There is also the possibility that she will never get back to you, so you've sent your personal information to someone that you don't know, with no idea whether it will stay on her computer or not.

I will send an email to introduce myself, and tell the lady when I'm interested in seeing her. I will let her know what verification sites I am a member of, and offer the information she asks for, if she would be interested in meeting me. If she responds, I will give her the information.

I never put my personal information in an initial email.

I send them an email including a short bit of personal introduction, a reference to where I found their ad/ website, the screening information I am willing to provide upfront (my first name and cell number, TER handle linking my 79 reviews and 8 white listings, my DateCheck and Preferred411 accounts).

If they want direct references I contact a few friends and ask their permission to give their information as a reference to the specific lady.

I don't provide my complete real name.

I do not provide employment information.

If I cannot reach her by email I do not make a date. I don't do phone only and I don't do web based form only.

many times ladies whose contact forms specify that a great deal more information is mandatory make the date with me on the strength of the information I am comfortable providing.

And if not, no hard feelings.

I fully support a lady's right to set her policies with respect to the information she requires in order to feel comfortable with a client.

if however her needs and mine don't match up, that's fine. I stay plenty busy ';-)

to provide work location, website or telephone numbers. Not gonna do it.

Perfectly said. Don't ever give your name or employer if you are worried about privacy. Once you fill out the form, you matters well post it on facebook. It is not secure. Try to use direct provider recommendations and other information. If that does not work move on.

I posted about this tpoic not long ago, look it up. There are several issues involved regarding security, many of which have been mentioned here already. The biggest issue is that the girls claim never to keep your info, yet have hosted websites. Secure (https) transmission is just that, only a transmission of data. When it gets to the host, almost every hosting site has backups. If they are ever busted, you're toast. I'm quite sure no web-host provider encrypts their drives, and totally positive that no provider does, so if she's busted, so are you.

I'd really like to ask the provider to send me the same info she asks for, but who would ask Ms Porche-Lexus-Mercedes Miller-Lite to prove who she is? It's a one-sided verification method the girls want, so move on if she can't accept what you have to offer.

Web-based forms are bad news.  I've never seen one that uses secure (https) protocol.  And where your personal data resides is a complete mystery to you.  You should count on your personal identity information not being encrypted and it being easily and completely discoverable.  Not cool.

I prefer that a girl just accept an email containing two or more references, but if I want to see her badly enough and it's the only way to contact her, I am willing to provide more info as long as TER shows that she's legit.  The form that required attaching a pic was a new one to me, but in the end it was worth it.

I think most guys are overly paranoid about this - who's ever read about someone getting burned this way?

But, I think if a girl offers other ways to contact her besides her contact form, she probably just prefers to have all that info rather than actually requiring it and you can get by with just sending refs.

There have been several instances of individual client arrests, or public postings (listing your name in paper) after an agency is busted. So If you don't mind your name listed in the newspaper, by all means, fill out the web based form.

I feel uncomfortable with it.  It is interesting reading the replies thus far, and I hope there are more posts.  I've not done the web-based applications, but I have provided name and business phone.  Doesn't mean I like it.  Circumvention?  Don't know.  The ladies somehow need to know we're legit.

Thanks for the overwhelming response and more so to know that i am not only one refuses to give personal info.
i wonder why they need place of employment, dob etc. i am sure if its LE-all the info could be false- so whats the safety?
am glad i didnt get sucked in to it!!
thanks
This is the real value of this board!!

It has been at least 5 years since I've had to offer up anything more than my TER userid.

Once they confirm it really is Doc Gonzo, the only other references they ask for are where when and for how long:)

Granted, this doesn't work for everybody, but like trikes, music, and insanity, it seems to work for me:)

A few years ago you guys were going on and on about not seeing local ladies and see visiting ladies to avoid Le.
So some of us were "visiting"  with a different name and number on every escort website.
Recently the trend has been to say "see the local ladies" for safety .lol
Then you guys say "only see ladies who screen" and swear that you get spooked and DON'T see ladies who don't screen.

We can't ask for your info with our mouths full of cock.

Maybe the tables have turned and it's fair play.
Screening makes it harder for the hobbyists to exploit the ladies.
There used to be threads on THIS very board on how to pay for half an hour and overstay for the hour because the girl wouldn't put her foot down and kick you out.

A sure way to circumvent ?lol
Street ladies.

Those forms used to bother me especially when it had ladies names and website info on it.
I didn't want my name and website info on them and ending up on other ladies computers either.
But it's more than that at stake.

Because there are so many predators and bad clients the screening has become necessary to an extreme.
EVERYONE hates it. ( Guys and girls alike) But it's the way it is now.

But how does providing my date of birth and employment information help one determine whos a bad client and who is not???
Once you have 2 good references, i think its a safe bet that the person you are seeing is not a trouble maker.

if you are an idiot unless you have references. That's a given, but not always fool proof. There are ladies who get robbed at gunpoint by their regular clients.

For me the form is an option, but screening is not.

So what's the answer? Us ladies put ourselves at risk because you don't want to be screened? Just like there are plenty of ladies who don't screen, there are plenty of men who are willing to be screened. Apparently neither the men or women have missed anything, right? So why ponder it? Move on....
