Sometimes, personal circumstances [finances, health, etc.] mandate a year's hiatus from "Okays".
Why one year ??  A man's personality , demeanor does not mutate at age 58 !

Serious question as opposed to a rant, but honestly I must be missing something lately. Have had a few PM exchanges with ladies here on TER and asked them to review my whitelistings, and given them my P411 (where I have several OKs) and have been directed to filling out their screening form on their website.

I don't like to constantly depend on using references as I know it likely gets to be a burden for the ladies I use. This is why I paid for P411 in the first place. So when I'm asked to fill out a screening form on a website that's like filling out the paperwork for a secret security clearance I just end up passing.

One lady I enquired with recently told me she doesn't take P411, doesn't take provider references, and isn't on TER. (I've seen her post here so I know she is on the site but that's another story) In any case, she claims she will ONLY TAKE an email from my work email account. I'm definitely not doing that.

Every lady is of course entitled to their own level of comfort as it relates to security, but the question remains. If I still have to fill out all those screening forms what's the point of asking a lady for a whitelisting on TER or paying for P411?

Thanks in advance.

Providers have every right to set their screening procedures as they see fit, just as clients have every right to be cautious with their personal information. That, unfortunately, often leads to situations where the conflict can't be resolved. Thankfully there are plenty of fish in the sea and you just need to move on and have confidence that you'll find a good fit (figuratively and literally).

Always the first to reply. Do you have a job? He already stated that they have the right to set their own screening methods...why don't you read the entire post before stating the obvious sherlock.

Boro(girl). Stalker guy. Chloe and Samantha regret the unwanted attention you provided. When you duck responsibility for bc sharing,  many that saved messages will out you chubby boy.

Restating a point made by others, before moving on to build upon that point (of shared agreement) is actually quite common in debate, discussion, and argumentation. But there's no way you'd know that because once you stumbled across the ad hominem fallacy you came to a full stop and said "That's for me!" It's quite a tragic raison d'etre, when you think about it (which you obviously don't). So, in the same way you were comprehensively shown to be a pathetic laughingstock on the General Discussion board, I'm more than happy to go down that same path here, so that Washington DC readers can witness the fullness of your idiocy. Exposing a putz like you has its intrinsic rewards and I view it as one way to contribute to the TER community.

to choose from who will play by your rules. Just move on to the next one!

as verification on a case-by-case basis. If I am comfortable with a potential client's okays, I'll ask for an Appointment Request via P411 in lieu of a booking form submission.

Regarding TER whitelist, no it is not adequate for me and I wouldn't see someone who only provides that.

A local agency has the P411 logo on their website. Any man who is a member of P411 in good standing might see that logo on their website and believe his membership will pass muster. It won't. As part of the screening process the  agency also requires a selfie while you're holding your driver's license. Then what pray tell is the reason for the P411 logo on their website? Decoration?

I had  [7] Seven  P411 okays. No negatives there. Providers often reject this, stating that they are over a year old...
So, i stopped wasting $$ on P411 and now mostly frequent AMPs instead.

I do have a photo ID indicating my occupation, and would happily show it at the time of the appointment. However, I would never send a JPG  or hard copy of it. I wonder if ladies would accept this approach.

OK; as i said, for me, an insurmountable hassle and catch 22. P411 is worthless, and I have no recent references Of course, your prerogative.

I will always take someone with a few P411 okays. The only exception to this is if the last okay is more than a year or so old.

...might not be super common but I wouldn't call it rare. It's not that hard to find a provider with a "good client gone bad" story (of a client in their 50's/60's/70's+).

P411 and RSK have been devalued by providers and agencies to the level of Mickey Mouse organizations. When I joined P411 five years ago they called my job and spoke to my boss to verify who I was. When I joined RSK back in 2008 I had to fax them two consecutive paycheck stubs to confirm my identity.

I still have no intention of dropping my P411 account. I can still see providers who advertise there. Many of them are Vegas and West Coast hotties who tour. The local agency who turned up its nose on me can stuff it where the sun doesn't shine. They can't stop me from having fun with these ladies.

My advice is move-on and if you have GOOD agencies use them to supplement indies.

When I travel I use TER/P411 exclusively and have had very few issues. In fact, with P411 I only had one issue in almost a decade of mongering. The provider initially ok'd me without looking at my profile on P411. I just said I had it and no issues. Then I get pinged she saw my profile and canceled on me. It had to be something on my profile, and I'm guessing race. I didn't have any problems booking another provider. This was in Kentucky.

... essentially a place to hold your refs not as a be-all-end-all point of screening. And recommended that the providers ask for add'l screening if they felt the need for it.

be comfortable providing my PII to anyone no matter who it is.

Amazes me when some providers think that PII is what they need to be comfortable.  But its their choice as it is mine to walk away from such providers

I have enough reviews, whitelists and okays that keeps me active.

But if you're comfortable providing your PII then it's your choice.

There is a reason why 411 exists. Of course they're going to state that providers should consider them to be just one source. For legal reasons they cannot claim otherwise. So stating 411 as a reason to ask for more does not make much sense to me personally.

If a provider wants to take this further then they can look at ID that makes 411 ID. I usually keep a copy and hide all other details other than the snippets that are needed. BUT have not needed it EVER.

I agree bud. I'm not one to ever even remotely try to pressure someone into accepting my verification if they aren't comfortable. It's their choice and as I mentioned in my original post (only to have a number of "just move on" pieces of advice) lol

In any case, the bit that I don't understand is when their screening forms ask for provider references. websites, phone numbers, emails, etc. That exact information is available on the white lists or the P411. If a girl I haven't seen would like to check that out I always say in the FIRST contact to "feel free to contact any lady I have seen" so I'm not sure why providers want me to send them the contact information that is already readily available to them.

In any case, I just move on and don't lose any sleep over it. The only reason I started this thread was to understand (from a ladies perspective) why P411 and whitelists weren't good enough.

Well one reason you might want to provide specific contacts is as a common courtesy to the person acting as your reference. My guess is that some (many?) provider will use whatever back channels they have so that type of validation probably occurs anyhow but...

to see providers who, within a few months of becoming a 411 member, started to believe that they know how its 'supposed' to work, how it 'should' work etc and anyone not following what they do has lower standards.

Kind of reminded me of a provider who had a higher rate but her 411 ad mentioned promotion and when I inquired about that, was told that she cannot lower her rate as she'll get only losers if she did that and that she'd rather have providers with lower standards handle them.

I laughingly pointed to her that another provider who charged 2X her amount says the same thing..... lol....
