That's what I meant BUT as all things in this hobby, there are different interpretations. I gather this isn't a topic for discussion. Thanks.

Just wondering what works well for those that enjoy OTC time. Would you rather present a donation for an hour or two and get an extra 30 mins or so tacked on at the end of the "scheduled" time or would you rather donate a flat, modified fee and really "date" the lady, provided the both of you are comfortable. And by "date" yes I do mean the gentleman pays for the outing, the room, etc. Thanks in advance for the feedback! ;)

I agree with _____ that a OTC isn't something that is paid for, whether flat fee or on an hourly basis. Your first example seems more like what reviewers describe as "not a clock watcher." You second example is just a different fee structure. Presumably, the "date" still has time limits and minimum fees.

To me, OTC is what happens when you begin to become friends. I met a lady near Tyson's corner in late morning who was told by her agency that she had to switch hotels immediately after our date. She pleaded for a bit of time to get a bite to eat and move. Hearing her on the phone and having had a few appointments with her already, I offered to take her out to lunch and drive her to her next hotel. That time was (sexless) OTC as were future times more intimate time together (post-agency) without any clear expectation of payment.

That kind of (real) OTC is a minefield though, as mixing business with friendship is difficult in any setting and potentially much more so in this arena. If you are "just" friends, presumably payments are no longer part of the equation. If not, then something more needs to be agreed on a person-by-person basis.
