I know what you are talking, because I was/am in your exact situation. Right now I am trying to get some control over it by being selective about who I see, but the temptation is huge. When I started off last year I was like a kid in the candy store, and blew a lot of dough. Eventually I busted my budget way beyond what I had set forth. The key is to set targets on who you will see and who you will not see and then don't waver from that. If you do that then you will be able to pace yourself and enjoy better. Quality is always better than quantity, eventually you will find it you enjoy it lesser and lesser if you over do it. I found that sometimes being in an aroused state and not doing anything about it for a day or two helps me to overcome the urge, it's actually enjoyable that way to get the excitement back into your life.

I am new at this so I am like a kid in candy store. So far spend a lot of money (Rather not say how much), but wondering what is the norm for new guys, those who have been doing it for months and those who have been doing it for years. Some ball park number so I can see if I am on track or not!

I suspect there is no standard budget. Spending is (I think) based on each hobbyist's interest in the industry and his particular financial situation.

I would adise you to stay focused and not blow all your money up front...a tempting habbit indeed.

Pace yourself,
Skydiver

and your available cash on hand. So far, you're perfectly normal. I think when most of us discover this wonderful world of available ladies, we're like kids in a candy store, but we settle into something that's comfortable for us. Some have unlimited resources, and just fuck until they can't anymore. The rest of us have to play within our means. I went crazy for about the first year-and-a-half. Now, I only get to play a few times per year, but I make the most of my opportunities. An average date for me will run between $1000 & $1500, depending on the lady, and how much time I can fit in. I also "invent" trips to see ladies, so if you factor in travel expenses, some of my dates are much more expensive.

A life time of wealth but worth every penny

I'm looking forward to reading the discussion on this thread, if there is any.  What do you want and what can you responsibility afford -- like any other hobby?  I also like to visit a few trustworthy AMPs and I typically do not review a lady more than once without good cause.  There are some on this board who submit 8 to 12 reviews per month (or more!).  As for me, there are other hobbies at which I also have great fun.  So for me, it's about balance ...and that balance changes.  Whatever, take care of yourself and your family, determine your disposable income, and proceed to enjoy yourself in any hobby you choose.

VaRider put it just about as good as it gets.
Take it easy and always try and think with the big head. I myself like to have a no rush visit.
I am not a weekly player but do enjoy a quality no rush time.

"Normal" is based on YOUR budget; YOUR appetite; YOUR etc, etc, etc..

When you first start in this world most tend to let the little head guide the big head...which seems to be where you are since you're asking the question.

Keep first and foremost in your mind YOUR real obligations!!!  When I first started my budget did not match my appetite!  So be very careful inparticular if YOU'RE not single and have others (children) depending on you.  I don't know how disciplined you are but if you find yourself getting out of control you need to consciously find and use alternatives such as AMPs.

Once you've learned the ropes you'll settle into a routine or at least you should.  But definantly stay close to TER or other review/info sites of your choosing.  You  dont want to donate your "budget" to Rip-off and Scam artist.  I was a victim almost 11 yrs ago now and remember it like it was yesterday.

If you want a sense of "normal" then monitor theaverage  market rates being charged as the majority of providers will be in this range then you plan accordingly.  If you prefer the so-called VIP types again, plan accordingly as the rates are higher.

It all depends on your financial situation. Typically when you first start you want to see everyone!! lol which maynot be a good idea. but if you can afford it why not! lol

for the most part, worth it.  Particularly since I've been a TER VIP member.  Has helped seperate the wheat from the chaf!!

Which usually means just one high quality provider a month, maybe two on occasion.  If I had all the money in the world, I would see someone every other week.  But I don't think more often -- part of the fun is the buildup and anticipation.  Seeing a provider every other day would make it a little dull, at least for me.

This is definitely well over a thousand a month hobby when you're fully into it.

Make sure that you max out on your 401K. I know before I did I was spending $1500-$3000 a month. Make sure you have your emergency funds in case you get laid off.

Never use a home equity loan to hobby.

A normal budget could be $200-$800/month depending on your income level.

If you are rich you can party like it is 1999.

for me when business was good I was going after anything i liked . Now that Business is so slow on my end i am a lot more selective about my picks. the only downside to that is sometimes you are slow to make a decision and it is too late, and i have been pressuring my self to only try to get home runs which is stressfull and complicated the decision
i set aside what funds i wont miss for the month and hope my wants dont exceed my needs
