Whats the deal with some ladies charging extra, usually about 50, for a guy who hasn't seen her before? I know, this isn't a new thing, I've seen it sporadically for many years. Last week as I was really searching through providers more than usual it seemed like I came across it much more frequently than I have in the past. Maybe I just noticed it more because multiple ladies I was interested in were doing it.
To a degree I get it, lady takes time to research a first timer, she wants paid for that time. But isn't that part of her job? Part of her cost of doing business? From my perspective as a hobbyist this is a big turn off. When I see a new lady, regardless of how much she is reviewed, I am taking a chance seeing her, just like she is by seeing me. I am also taking a chance on whether or not I will enjoy being with her. It says to me that a lady doing this is as busy as she wants to be and really doesn't want new clients so she has instituted a fee to discourage new guys from seeing her. Your thoughts, if any?I have seen discounts for first timers, an introductory rate by a new provider, and discounts for return visitors. Last one is the most common.

If someone doesn't want to see new guys, all it takes is a simple notice on the website telling them not to apply. Since there is no mandate/pressure to see the new guys, there is no reason to discourage anything. She can just flat out say "NO".
PM sent, I don't want to call a lady(s) out on the board publicly due to her pricing as each lady is free to structure her pricing how she sees fit. Even if I or others find it odd.
Through the years I have seen some odd stuff in price structuring. I know of one lady who will from time run an ad which offers discounts to guys with a particular astrological sign (always the same one) and no I'm not kidding. I also understand offering regulars a discount, I just think it should be done privately. I have 2 ladies I see somewhat regularly who told me after so many visits that from then on I only had to pay her so much and to ignore her regular listed rates, but those conversations occurred privately.
My questioning this has more to do with openly advertising that you have better rates for some people than for others, in this particular case a first time visitor vs a repeat visitor.
I wonder if ladies understand how things like this rub guys the wrong way and get them checked off our lists...
It is a little unclear from her "Rates" page whether she intends to charge higher rates for all the New Clients, or has merely grandfathered her lower rates for the guys that she has seen before.
Without any additional explanation, all one can do is assume. Your inference is merely an assumption.
If I were you, and really interested in the gal, I would ask nicely if you would qualify for her lower rates on 2nd, 3rd, subsequent visits or has that ship already sailed? I will tell you this. Grandfathering older clients is more common than charging new guy more.

Also, in your own personal opinion, if she says that I would qualify for the lower rate on subsequent visits (meaning its not a grandfathered rate), how would you personally feel about paying the first time buyer premium, not necessarily for her (because she may not be your cup of tea) but lets say her exact rates for a lady you were pretty darn interested in seeing?
As long as she is clear in her communication, I would go for it, if that's what I wanted to do.

Women can run their shop the way they want. If its really, really bad, they will have to adjust it to what market can accept, else drop out of the market.

Actually thats kind of the point of the thread. Just like anything odd or somewhat different about a provider, if I'm not all that interested or even on the fence, its easy to pass her up. If I really want to see her its easy to overlook. If my schedules happen to coincide with the lady I sent you the PM about, I would see her anyway. The other ones I saw, this or anything else odd I saw would cause me to take a pass.
Due the crackdown with LE all over the area many guys are sticking to regulars. As a result good providers are not hurting for business. They see a new guy as an added risk or as a guy who just wants to hit and get it once. They figure if you become a regular they will give you a discount. I saw one who goes for $120 hour but gives a discount down to $100 for repeat customers.
........verifying a gentleman, exchanging a few e-mails, and a phone conversation before we meet, is part of, the cost of "doing business".
I do know that a few ladies use part time assistants, or verification services that charge them "per client". Maybe the ladies are trying to recoup their losses. I just charge it off a a business expense.
Personally, I think it is wrong, and petty.
