Yes... I have tried searching since I believe this was hashed out once before, but no luck....Sorry.

I've noticed that there are a few traveling ladies who have multiple hour rates when they're in their home territory, but do not discount when traveling. Even for a 3 hr. appt.

That's not a show stopper for me since "it is what it is" and I usually have a habit of throwing the discount back in as a tip.
But I've had occasion to find out once they're gone that they actually do discount multiple hours.

I guess the easy answer is just to ask, but my personal feeling is that any discussions like this can get the meeting off to a bad start (if a start at all).

Perhaps the easiest thing would be for the ladies to specifically state that there is or isn't a discount offered.

I have noticed some rates of say $300/hr, $475/90 minutes. Is that just a math challenged provider or is she really that interested in getting you to go for the shorter appointment? I like the 90 minute appointments because it usually implies MSOG and gives you more time to relax and have fun. But it just doesn't make sense to charge a higher rate for that extra 30 minutes. Sorry I can't find an ad to link to but I've seen this type situation a number of times.

I recently had a 2 hr. date at for a very reasonable fee. Your best bet is to look on TER or BP regularly to check for promotions.

I don't think they math challenged, but they definitely don't understand basic economics. They are probably of the impression that if the girl is spending more time with the client, she needs to be compensated at a higher rate. Such girls, are not interested in providing a better value for the money to their client base and will end up hurting their business in the longer run.

I personally try to offer more time to my clients if I can't offer lower rates. When visiting DC the overheads can be quite high so I am not always able to offer mulitple hour dicounts but try to offer some extra time when possible. I on this trip offered 30 additional minutes to my clients who pre-booked 1 hour with me. That way I still get my full donation and my clients get more time and we are all happy.

I do. Dinner is nice or a drink in the room.

I have also seen both visiting and local providers who somehow charge at a higher rate for extended time; at the same time there are others who discount the extended time. If I cannot find the info on their website, I assume the hourly rate remains the same. I never expect a discount and certainly respect the ladies too much to ever ask for one...just my 2 cents...
