Suspects Solicit Undercover Officers for Sex

Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit of the Fairfax County Police Organized Crime and Narcotics Division along with several female undercover officers arrested 23 men for soliciting prostitution during a prostitution sting on Thursday, October 1. The operation took place at various locations in the Tysons Corner, Falls Church and Mount Vernon areas of the county.

Some female officers, posing as escorts, were solicited online and made arrangements with a suspect to meet at a hotel. Other officers were approached directly outside hotels by men soliciting sex. All of the suspects were released on summonses for solicitation of prostitution.

Makes me wonder if they used CL or BP.  Another good reason to stay away from those two sites.

Unless they're a glutton for going after unreviewed girls on Craigslist.

If an undercovered LE officer doesn't get you to agree or request a service for cash, do they have anything on you?

I've had one experience when a provider was very upfront about her services and prices as soon as I got to her incall location, and kept asking me what I wanted before getting comfortable. I explained to her that all I wanted was her company, and I would not pay for sex because that's just illegal.  So I politely turned around and left with my donation.

I don't know, but that could have been a sting, but since I never incriminated myself on the phone or at the date, I may have been let go.

Thoughts?

Once you show up to a sting, consider yourself busted. What you say "can and will be used against you in a court of law". Miranda Warning. They will bust you just for showing up. Why would they let you go? In a court of Law, the judge will believe what the officer has to say. The officer will explain that they laid out a sting type trap, that you willing walked into it after reading an obvious sex-for-money ad. That you contacted the vice officer. Anything else they need for a conviction will be made up and pinned on you. Cops on a bust do not always behave according to the law or myths about what you can and can not say or little white envelopes. I bet they will search you and find that little white envelope with cash and it will be evidence.  Get yourself a lawyer on retainer now and have his phone number memorized or in your pocket for your one phone.
