We have had situations in the state of Maryland where LE will pay informants to have sex a provider and report back the results. In this same county (Montgomery County)  LE has been known to kick in the door to catch people in the act (search the Washington post website).

Back in the 1990's in Howard county MD a cop had sex with a lady in a Asian massage parlour. The judge dropped the charges in that case.

Experienced providers have certain rules that you should follow and if you follow them, you will have less to worry about.  The money should never be discussed but should be in an envelope and placed on a table or in the bathroom, and if she is smart, you won't see her open the envelope or count the money in front of you.  When setting up the appointment, never mention sexual acts.  An LE arrest needs some evidence of money in exchange for sex.  There has to be some connection between the sex act and the money.  If sex is never discussed in emails, telephone calls or in the room, all you have money in an envelope which is never requested by the provider and not opened by the provider, it is a difficult case to prove. The provider will act as if you are someone she wants to have sex with, and its not a crime for two consenting adults to have sex.   When this protocol is followed, the hobbyist and the provider are both protected so it is important to follow the rules.  Another action I recommend is to touch the provider in an inappropriate area of her body when first seeing her, like touching her breasts or her pussy or placing her hand on your cock, because undercover cops do not like this at all and will back away from you.  If a provider acts like this, I would leave the room immediately.  Some providers that I have seen quickly pull down my pants and start sucking my cock, and this is another good action that makes me feel safe.  These rules are in place because they work.  Some Backpage girls don't follow these rules and there is discussion about the money or sex in the room, and this is dangerous for you and her.  Have fun, guys but be safe.

Excellent suggestion for times that we live in.

Stay away from ads that are too good to be true. Some hints are stolen pictures and prices that are too low.

1. Make sure that you stick with well know reviewed providers from reviewers that you trust.

2. Stick with providers who don't use drugs.

3. Providers who don't share incall. Things work out in the short run. Usually the providers have a fight and someone rats the other provider out to LE. Sometimes it comes from competition.

4. Stay away from providers with pimps.

5. Stay away from providers where provider is under age (under 18).

6. Stay away from providers that use cheap hotels where activity can be seen from the outside. This does not always work sometimes LE uses 4-5 star hotels as seen from some of the articles posted back in May this board.

LE job is easier now that CL is gone. Many of the CL providers have migrated to BP putting BP as the TOP sight for LE to crackdown on.

LE has trained hotels on how to spot prostitution activity. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what they have told the hotels to do.

LE all over has be given federal funds to crackdown on the hobby looking for human trafficking and people pimping girls under 18. Recent articles indicate that the FBI have been working with LE to watch certain hotels.

Be aware this is an election year.

The LE check is a fallacy. Having the exact amount from her ad in an envelope is just about enough to hang you.

FINALLY !!!  let me have my  "Veritas Omnia Vincit" moment !!

* takes a few seconds *

Ok I'm good.

We've been (those of us in the Fantasys Network) trying to tell so many of our 'industry colleagues' this for so many years. However, they just laugh in our face choosing to believe a fallacy, simply because it's all they have.

This is one of many reasons why do things the way we do them. Doesn't matter if you agree or not I"m not going to debate that point. MY point by saying the latter is we follow the axiom " Truth can only be proven by results." Thus, there are many accepted practices and beliefs of our industry we do not follow.

Here's another one.

Ask "are you a cop" three times.

Ok.... all together now....   1.....2......3

DUH !!

Thank you HD.

All that has been said is fine, GREAT, but, ALL cops these days will wear wires and these are easily detectec by relatively inexpensive means.  Note:  I do not ever say CHEAP!  Cheap denotes quaullity as well as quauntity...  So, the word CHEAP is more often better replaced by the word inexpensive when refering to quality or..Inexpensive!  As for providers.....very few are "Cheap or Inexpensive" but so many are well worth it.        flyrod

Cops CAN and WILL say..No I am not a cop. And bust you.

There was a bust LAST week here in the Carolina's...A female cop was used to bait hobbyists...she was wearing lingerie...and according to some of the men..the touched her breasts...one kissed her..

Guys wake up. If they want to bust you..they WILL.

I mean really...it's your word against theirs..

But Judge...she said she wasnt a cop...
Cops says she never said that...
Who is the judge going to believe.

But Judge..She should be charged..she touched my penis..and I kissed her
Cops says she never did any of those things...
Who is the judge going to believe...

It's not hard...do your homeword..do not TOFTT.

See ya soon!

I think you missed the SARCASM in my post.

That point is exactly what I was alluding to in my "here's another one... DUH" comment.

If they want to bust you, they will granted and yes it can be a he said, she said all, true.

Which is why you never want to use a Public D if you can help it. Often in marginal procedural cases it can make all the difference.

Ok...... here we go....

An irresistible force is about to meet an immovable object....

Oh and I picked up to two 'Cold Steel' two handed combat machetes last week...... Nice!

As for the Shun Knives, they wouldn't be as satisfying in your other area of needs.

Great post and thread.  Ought to be required reading for every hobbiest.  To be safe requires thorough reserach.  LE does lurk, so we all have to be careful!
