Marcel's...

I'm going to be in DC tomorrow (taking the day off), and I was wondering where the nice Japanese and French restaurants are?

Thank you...
Megan ^^

if you like Sushi Kaz Sushi Bistro is the best

I second Kaz, fantastic food.

Sushi Taro on 17th St.
Bistro Bis at the Hotel george
Citronelle
Cafe Du Parc
Makato

Noth Sushi Taro and Makato are superior to Kazsushisbistro

Only recently has Sushi Taro stepped up their quality, for awhile it was plain awful. I had lunch there last week and it was excellent, but after too many disappointing visits over the last few months I'm still hesitant to give it 2 thumbs up.

Marcel's and Bistro Francais are my favorites.

Enjoy!

on 7th St. by Verizon Center in the same complex as the Multiplex theater. Continuous circulating 'train' with plates of sushi on board; just pick off what you want as it goes by. Reminds me of a place I went to in Japan. There's also a Benihana in Georgetown on M Street around 30th.

Citronelle, best French restuarant, in DC...Georgetown area...is pricey though!  Absolutely wonderful!

Megan - all great choices! Some options, if you don't want to spend all your hard earned money in one seating;-) Montmartre near Eastern Market, Et Voila in Palisades, Sei, 7th street, near Verizon Center. Have fun!

Thank you all for the great recommendations!  I can't wait to try them all :-)
