I've become increasingly bored with the "hobby," partly because I've been doing it so long. But there's something else.  

Back in the day, I found an interesting variety of attractive, part-time, GND providers. I guess you could call them semi-pros. I remember a Swedish exchange student, a college soccer player, an aspiring PR executive and a nightclub singer. The variety was fun and a real turn-on.

Nowadays, they all seem to be professionals. They're probably more skilled than the ones I used to meet. After all, they get a lot more experience. But the pleasure of discovering someone new is missing. And the routine is always the same. Wait in the lobby until the booker texts you the room number and up you go to get the ashes hauled.  

It's somehow just not as enjoyable as it used to be. I first met the nightclub singer through an escort service. The next time I was in town, I contacted her directly and went to see her perform at a little hole in the wall. Later, we had a drink and went back to my hotel for a great evening.  

If all this makes me sound like an old man, it's because I am. But sometimes, when someone tells you how much better things were in the old days, it's true.

Well said.  There are only a few ladies that I have seen (since a long thing with an  escort and hiatus by me)  since being back here that provide the type of authenticity and pleasure you mention.    They are the exception.  

Yep, new times.  Girls can make money off OnlyFans or other content and so you either pony up the $800/hr for the hot, GND independents or go the agency route and it can be like a factory.   Just have to adjust or decide it's not worth it anymore.

I generally won't do agencies but I am cleared with Discreet Story. I have to say I've had nothing but great experiences with them. I have yet to have a less than amazing time.  

Time to take a break.  After a couple of months, you'll be ready to go with a couple more G's in your pocket.

The services that we used to get from those part-timers was far better than the $800 per hour glamor girls with fake body parts and over inflated prices. It used to be that you could accurately predict the scope of available services by the price but now this recent batch thinks that being arm candy with restrictive menu is worth the price.  I struck off-agency extended friendships with some of the part-timers but eventually they move on to another life and disappear like smoke. But they were all real and down to earth compared to today”s vain providers with their phoniness. It’s driving me out of the hobby after many years. It has become more of a capitalistic profession with a more jaundiced view of the consumer

Agreed, 1000 even 800 sessions are a non starter.  I have, on occasion, sprung for a high priced provider, only to be reminded that price and performance are not related. Most of my most memorable sessions were with reputable providers in the 300-450 range.  Even with the resent price inflation, there is no benefit to going over 500. IMHO

I still occasionally run into a part-timer like you describe.  Just last week I met Olivia, a 20yo from WVa new to the hobby and very real and honest GND.  We had a great session and I felt like we made a human connection.  (The fact that she flaked on me this week notwithstanding)
A few months ago I had a session with a AA young lady in nursing school.  She travels to the DMV some weekends and holidays to earn extra cash.  A year or so ago I met a woman in her 40s, recently divorced,  who was doing this to get back at her Ex and to make enough cash to cover debts he left her with.
There are still some gems out there.

My experience has been that in general, you get what you pay for in Life, if not the Lifestyle.

I seek those ladies who are moved by the power of being a "YES" girl,  more than a "NO" lady. I want what i want and if I am going to pay $700-$1500 per hour, I am going to try and make sure I get my money's worth. The ladies that can command that price point are exceptional enough to set the market, otherwise they would be working for an agency or because they are flakes, upsell at the appointment, or any number of reasons that they are one of many, as opposed to one of the few. I like Excellence in Everything and am willing to pay for it.

It just sounds like you're worse. Judging from your anecdote you want more access for the price of a short date, and you're dejected about not being able to get it. I'm sure these girls would be happy to hang out at a hole in the wall with you if you'd book a hole-the-wall-length date. More fun is possible if you make the sacrifice.
