So, I saw a fairly highly reviewed provider last week and I found that I am having some painful urination and a small bump on my penis.  I believe that I got herpes from the BBBJ that I received, and wanted to know how I should notify her, if at all?  I know the drill, it can lie dormant for years, etc., but the timing is just a little too close to be a coincidence.  Thoughts?

Have you seen a doc?  Are you sure it's herpes?  Get yourself examined by a proper physician, then you can determine what the next course of action is.

we've had plenty of folks here blaming someone for what was at first thought to be an STD when in fact it turned out to be something entirely different.

IMHO

First, go to the doctor. It may not be herpes.  

Second, pull together a list of everyone you have slept with since your second to last "all clear" STD test.

Third, contact the provider and tell her immediately. If she does have something, it's important that she know ASAP.

Last thing we need is a panic... I'd go see a Doctor ASAFP and then see what the dianosis is... regardless you should contact the provider in question as well so she is at least aware and can take appropriate action to protec herself too.

You all should probably handle this privately...

when will you people learn that its just down right dumb to be doing these unsafe things with someone you are not in a relationship with. Now i quess you will continue to hobby and pass this herpes to other ladies who are dumb enough to blow you without a condom. Rediculous(shaking head). I hope this has taught you a lesson.

Agree; Do get a compentent diagnosis before panic!  Some years ago, I had a GF that had herpes no doubt about it!  Yet, she and I had a lot of fun between outbreaks, ie, physical indications of herpes!  Happily, I never contracted herpes, we usually went anal during eruptions of the symtoms. BTW, Back-door is Highly over-rated!

I had the exact same symptoms one time, I went to the Dr. to get it checked out and...

It was just a small scab / sore. The Dr. said he saw this all the time. What happens is, a woman's teeth may ever so gently graze the head as she's going down on you. You don't feel or notice it at the time. This friction creates a sore, which  burns when hot urine flows over it.

Of course, you should definitely get it checked out but... Odds are in your favor that it's not an STD.

I think all the advise has been good.  If you beleive you have reason to be concerned, getting a diagnosis is the best way to move on.  Every time I see a provider I go through a phase of worry about getting something.  Anything different down there will set-up an alarm.  So far its just been worry.

I know I will get flack for this from the guys but...most providers are safer then civiies.,.we know the risk and take GREAT precautions to be safe.  I know a lot of my civiee counterparts do not!!!  Be real, I am more at risk with you, then you are with me!!!!  Trust me!!!  I carry NO RISK, do you?

Providers are in fact safer as a rule than civvies, if for no other reason than the motive of sustained income, although most providers I know are very conscientious, service oriented people.

However, the bottom line is that each client needs to assume rsponsibility for his / her own health and that of those he/she comes into contact with.

If one is in the hobby and on this board the chances are that most hobbyist and well reviewed ladies are more educated regarding the versus these basic elementary sex-ed questions....Just MHO.

Your chances of contracting STDs is probably greater in the club (and not a strip club) then with a "well reviewed" provider.
