I contacted a provider who I have seen before yesterday.   We set a time for today.  I blocked the time on my schedule, declined other meeting invites, etc.   I confirmed this morning.   I drove over at the appointed time, paid for parking and nada....

Happens to ladies and John's alike... no need to get your nipples in a twist about it.

Just chive on!

A client I've met in the past just NCNS, after we confirmed at noon! There must be something in the air..I guess the best thing to do would be to is find another lady to meet?

I am available near Dupont Circle if you'd still like to fill your afternoon with fun ;)

I don't think I would attempt to see her again, unless she reached out with an appropriate explanation and a compensatory offer.

Did she reply to your confirmation message?

It's one thing to cancel at the last minute; a whole other beast to not tell the client after you've set up the date............

Yes, I confirmed in the morning and at 9:30, she said that we were on for a 12:30 pm appointment...

I guess I could have tried to confirm one last time at 12 noon before I set out... *shrug*

No biggie...I was blown at the time...I'm not anymore...

If she replied and confirmed your appointment that morning- no. You do not need to reconfirm (though a, "I'm on my way" note is nice)

That is so bad. Sorry it happened to you!

, it's her loss! Now you know she's not worth the effort unless she later contacts you with a very, very convincing story and offers you a substantial incentive to make it worth your while.

Think of it as like any other business meeting.  You might wonder about the responsibility of the person.   You might not want to do business with her anymore. You might take it personally.   But stuff happens, and it's best just to move along.

I've been stood up by one of the most well-reviewed providers here -- radio silent -- and after being outraged and annoyed, I just moved on.  but, everytime I see one of her ads......grrh

First time with a well-known lady in San Diego at the time. I was surprised when I arrived  near her incall and then lost contact completely. No return calls or texts. To her credit, she contacted me months later. Turned out she had been spooked by my area code which was why she went radio silent. So there can be good albeit strange reasons fir these situations.

Happened to me today. Scheduled, confirmed and went to the location she supplied. Pulling into a parking place and she calls and says she was out for 90 minutes trying to get her "prescription" filled and no pharmacy had it.

Note this was 5 minutes before the appointment, drove 45 minutes to get there.

A client should react by rating that provider badly, and then moving on.

You cannot rate flakers for flaking. You can only write reviews for bad service.
Many well know providers would have much lower scores...which TER is doing anyway with the new scoring. Too bad they do not have a no show list.

in your opinion is it necessary to confirm on the day of, even if it was already confirmed the day before?

There's probably a very good reason why she did this, but it's a poor reflection on her for not responding to you. But no big deal. The nice thing about this town is that there's no shortage of high quality providers.
